That POS dodge only won because of technology. It ain't half as badass as a GNX or even an apples to apples race. If Buick still made the GNX, with today's technology, it would be goiing low 10s.

That Buick that is almot 40 jumped that Mopar out of the hole and if you added just a touch of nitrous would have smoked that Hemi, and it had way less horsepower too.

There's no replacement for displacement. That v6 would be nothing without a turbo.

If he had a 496 stoker (big block) and a blower with a TH400 4:10 gears, would have done the g body shuffle all the way to the finish line gapping. Not really a fair race.

I will take the GN any day there simply is no comparison to the engineering marvel of what was created in the 80's.

Slow from the factory tune in today standards, but an aftermarket tune and about $2000 in parts can get the car in 11 second territory no problems, upgrade the turbo and wider tires you will be in 10 seconds and under territory. There are well documented recipes for getting the car in the 1/4 drag range you prefer relatively inexpensively. That is what made these cars monsters, the ease and affordability.

Imagine having a brand new car that cost twice as much that has a hemi, 2 more cylinders and twice the displacement ...and still barely beating a 36 year old 6 cylinder Buick. 😂😂😂
