Remarkably, he kept the female until the last second until he was attacked by the second male. and this fierce brutal fight, this other male definitely wanted to kill him. just why. Bears don't usually fight to the death like this. this rarely happens. I don't think there is another video on YT where bears fight to death. they are with light short fights, but not like this.

That left hind leg injury was already there before this fight. You can see it at the start. Got a lot worse though during this fight.

The size of that chunk of meat taken from first homies hind-leg, and then later on the chunks taken from his neck/back spine area, my God 😮 Take a chunk that size out of a human, and we are DONE for. Its insane how fragile our little bodies are compared to some other beasts of Earth. If they had intelligent brains, and opposable thumbs, I bet they could have killed a T-Rex 😂

No damage? The bear(boar) on the defensive, was already tired from courting and copulating the sow...homeboy ripped into him whilst he was in the act! Notice, however, that o.g. didn't turn and run, stayed to fight...Grew up on a cattle ranch on kodiak Island, home of the big bears,, worked for ADFG from kodiak to cold bay...fished commercially... witnessed this behavior more times than you have relatives. Literally slapped them on ass to run them out of camp, punched them in the face while they're trying to get into my tent!

This allows them to grow larger and live in higher densities than their “grizzly” cousins in the northern and interior parts of the state.

@ZelenskyTheMadClown They were both seen a few days later - I hope they are both alive - unfortunately bears do fight over mating rights, territory, food and to establish dominance. Luckily they live near the salt water so that should help with wound healing.

The smaller, scarred bear may look outmatched but he has whit, pinning the rival a number of times even in the water; You can see the lighter bear attempt to pin him as well, mounting him but cant seem to knock his balance. All those scars show he's not to be messed with, no wonder the female chose him.

I think the craziest part of this isn’t even the injuries or the duration of the fight but the fact that you can hear their hair and skin RIP when they latch and pull. Absolutely terrifying to imagine that being a person
