i switched mine off because it was in limp mode, but would drive with traction con off, but when i hit 40mph the engine shut down? everytime

I think the reason why the ecu temp sensor didn’t turn on with the same resistance is because that sensor has a different graph to the temp gauge one

He's showing the necessary calculation for dealing with metric units. If you have to work in metric (e.g. the wrench doesn't have an imperial scale), you don't directly see a Kilogram weight value to use. The formula is _force_ x distance, but weight in pounds can be used directly when it's imperial because the force unit is already expressed in pounds (pound-force generated by acceleration under gravity), whereas the metric Newton in the Nm isn't expressed in Kilograms. We need to do the calculation of mass-force equivalence (using the 9.81 gravitational field strength) to turn a Kilogram value we get from a scale readout or deadweight into a Newton force value. (Edited hopefully for clarity.)

@@BrewCityRider We went metric in Australia around the time I finished school, so I'm comfortable with either. But for some things, like this, imperial still feels a bit more intuitive.

So the same as a Volvo penta AQ130 engine that is also a B20 engine with 130 crank HP compared to your 136 crank hp. I believe that the AQ130 only has a different camshaft and 2 Solex carburetors.

Thank you, I just got the kit on my 740. Had to pull off a bearing because there is a splash plate covering the bolts. What a shit🤬. And had to buy a rattle gun. There was no way to get those bolts off without one. Still got to get it back in the car. Going to put in new bearings. One of them was pitted. For anyone interested I will reply to this comment how it feels to drive. I am booked in for my first track day ever in a couple of weeks

@@kimshute7715 Well, I have been happy about it. There is no connector for external mic. It would be nice. Strong wind is bad for this camera’s mic. I have been filming mostly Tractor Pulling, rally or track events. Works fine .👍 You can’t get very high quality at this price range.😁

Thanks for the clear and factual video. I just replaced the same sensor and the problem was fixed. Volvo's brand repair shop does not give a spare part number, and the price is €191. However, the new sensor can be found as a spare part under Volvo's OE number 31288274 or Ford's number 8G9N-3C492-AA. At Autodoc the price is €37 and Motonet (in Finland+Estonia) €49.

Hi Hans, I did this to my Volvo and the fuel gauge does work now but only when I turn on my headlights. What gauge wire do you recommend and does the thickness of the wire matter for this job? Copper wire or can it be a basic wire? Thanks.

Same car, different problem. Very little pressure on rear brakes. Everything new. No abs model. Any ideeas? NO stupid answers like "bleed for air" - please, someone who really knows what they are doing.
