My cat also does that. he blocks the door and jumps on me- sometimes he teeths my arm 😭

Hi. My cat Jazzy has had rhinitis symptoms from day 1 of my adopting him in 2017. My vet wasn’t concerned after doing tests for crypto, herpes (was positive), and a PCR polymerase chain reaction type test for a variety of infections. Just recently (Dec 2023) his pre-dental extraction CT scan (his first ever) showed nasal tissue irregularities and nasal passages bone loss. The radiologist was concerned with possible nasal lymphoma. This has sent me on a new mission that now might lead to a biopsy if the new low-invasive tests are negative. Quite upsetting, particularly since this might end up a highly expensive goopy nose that he’s lived pretty fine with for about 7 years now.

Nicely done. Trying to find a piece for an upcoming showcase to do the same thing. Thinking of doing Waltz for the Moon and asking the keep the bit of fumbling at the start. Reminds me a lot of how I got kidnapped by a friend into dance :D Great job man, keep up the good work!

Hi -- I found your video about Shadow being diagnosed with chronic rhinitis while looking for information on it. The comments are turned off. Your story sounds like my story. I got Jackson from a shelter and they told me he had a little cold...it never went away - after $5000 in diagnostics all they could tell me was that he has chronic rhinitis and will have it his whole life and I can try and manage it. I was wondering what you have done to manage it for your cat. you said that you couldn't find much info and that was years ago - well, there still isn't much out there.

Honestly not much has changed in Shadows condition. He will be 12 in December. Still being spoiled. Still has discharge coming from the nose. I just keep an eye on it and take it one day at a time. He is a happy purr machine still.

My cat did that in the bathroom. I wasn't allowed to take a shower until I gave her a sufficient back scratch. It was like a toll booth.

Hello Shadow's dad. How is your Shadow doing now? I found your video from 8 years ago searching up chronic rhinits in cats. My cat recently showed bone loss in the CT scan as well. Our vet said it's cancer and we're really shocked with this news. His symptoms line up with chronic rhinits and I am trying to talk with. someone about it. I would love to have your email or some way to talk to you because my cat is my best friend too and I want to help him the best I can.
