Shiner fishing is boring and no different then pan fishing with worm and bobber. It’s much more fun to use artificial and the challenges that come with trying to catch them.

I've seen guys that only use lures that can't catch on shiners. Knowing how to do both can be fun and Roland is one of the best at both, a true legend. I'd shiner fish with him any day over lures with anyone else lol.

Fine how to video. I used to tie a single uni and simply tighten short of the eye. I like the idea of the half hitch as a stop to keep it from tightening all the way and closing the loop.

Quit using plastic worms...... they're bad for fish and bad for waterways.... pollution

Do you tie it directly or using swivel for this kind of lure?

When you bury the hook, is the hook point barely sticking out or is it deep in the middle of the worm?

My dad and I were his guide party on Thursday, the bass he lost was a giant, jumped out of the water 2x. Roland is a class act and does everything he can to put you on your PB. There is only a limited number of these guide trips available so if you're thinking about it I would book it today, you won't be disappointed.

The dead shiners give off an ammonia scent that bass seem to love. Big bait fish are expensive so we use living & dead and have seen some wild results.

I used a spoon yesterday i missed 6 in ten mins. Honestly i set the hook but i was wrong. I couldnt believe the bass ran with it. I had a big spoon so I'm going to change to a smaller spoon.
