Jericho is a Hebrew city. And it's famous in biblical history as the first town attacked by the Israelites under Joshua after they crossed the Jordan River. Jericho is historically *very* important to the Jewish people, but today like other Jewish cities and sites in the Holy Land (aka: Eretz Israel), they are under Arab Muslim occupation. In May 1994, Israel evacuated the IDF forces from the area of the city of Jericho as part of the *Cairo Agreement* and the territories were transferred to the Palestinian Authority that was established at that time. P.S. Free Judea! 🕎✌️

*Jericho* has an ancient synagogue from the *Byzantine period,* and is located near Tel Jericho and the Elisha Spring. This synagogue was, without a doubt, built by a Jewish community that understood Jewish values, for the symbols on the mosaic floor teach us about the possible combinations to bring peace, holiness, unity, and prayer. And unlike most synagogues of the period, no hellenistic symbols are found on the mosaic (in contrast to the *Naaran Synagogue,* also in Jericho), and there are no names of benefactors. On the contrary, an inscription on the mosaic states that "All members of the community are remembered for a blessing, the great and the small, to whom the King of the World helped and gave strength to build this mosaic. He who knows their names, the names of their wives, children and kinfolk will inscribe them in the Book of Life together with all the righteous. Friends of all Israel. Shalom." A tradition has it that this is the place where Joshua was met by the Angel of G-d before embarking on the conquest of Jericho (Joshua 5:13). Jericho was conquered by Joshua bin Nun on the 28th of Nissan. The People of Israel went round the walls of the city blowing ram's horns for 6 days; on the 7th day the walls were absorbed into the ground (Joshua 6:1-21).

It's cheap propaganda. Because *only 3%* of the security fence is concrete. The rest are fences that surround the Israeli Settlements, kibbutzim and cities where Jews, Druze and Arabs (aka: ISRAELIS) live in coexistence. ☮️ This fence saved the lives of tens of thousands of Israelis - Jews, Druze and Arabs alike, from the suicide bombings of Palestinian terrorists. Thousands of Jews were murdered in cafes, buses, clubs, malls, hotels ... until the Israeli government decided to put an end to terrorism and erected the security fence. We give thanks every day for this fence. 🙏🇮🇱

*Hebron* and *Bethlehem* are Hebrew cities with thousands of years of Jewish history and archeology. 😊🕎 Why not take a tour with an Israeli Jewish guide who will explain to you a little about the rich history of the people of Israel in Judea and Samaria (or in its colonial name "The West Bank").

This is important to know that Jews *not allowed* to roam 97 percent of the city of Hebron. But *only in 3%* of the city. Israeli Arabs are allowed to be 100% of the city. And of course "Palestinian" Arabs. It is only forbidden to Jews. Why? 🤔🕎 After all, *Hebron is the second most sacred place for Jews, after Jerusalem.* (The third is Tiberias and the fourth is Safed).

After the Hebron massacre 1929, the Jews of Hebron left. Thus the Jewish community in Hebron came to an end after thousands of years of Jewish presence in the city of Hebron. Until 1967 in the *Six Day War* Israel *liberated* Judea and Samaria (so-called the West bank) from the Jordanian occupation. In the 1997 Hebron Agreement, Israel *transferred 97% of the city (!!!)* to the control of the Palestinian Authority, Israel *transferred* many weapons to the PA (and thus in effect established the Palestinian Police). To this day, this weapon is used by the Palestinians for terrorist attacks against Israel and for the murder of Jews in Judea and Samaria and in Israel. Today several hundred families and hundreds of thousands of Arabs live in Hebron.

I recommend that you learn about the *1929 Hebron massacre,* in which the Muslims massacred the Jewish community in Hebron that had lived there for thousands of years. Here: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1929_Hebron_massacre

The Jewish people are *indigenous* to Judea - Land of Israel. 🕎🙌 After over 2 millennia of forced exile, persecution, and genocide, the *(re)establishment* of *Jewish sovereignty* in our *ancestral homeland* is a remarkable story of *national liberation.* Jewish claims to the land are far more than biblical accounts. Our *religion, language, culture, holidays, rituals, liturgy, history,* and even the words Jew and Jewish are all inseparable from *historical Judea* and our collective longing to *return to the Land of Israel.* The land of Israel is where Jews became *a people* and the *oldest monotheistic faith.* It is where Jews *achieved sovereignty* before losing it and regaining it several times until much of the *indigenous Jewish population* was either killed or forced into exile following the *Roman Empire’s* brutal suppression of the heroic *Jewish revolt* in the second century of the Common Era. Though the Romans subsequently *renamed the land* Syria Palaestina, the Jewish people *never left* our homeland physically or spiritually. *Archaeological evidence* of Jewish life can be found in more than *30,000 sites* in Israel with antiquities dating back centuries. Even when we were massacred and persecuted by Christian Crusaders, Arab and Ottoman *invaders,* the British-led Jordanian Arab Legion, or more recently Hamas suicide bombers and rockets, our attachment *never* wavered. It is in this same land where Jews miraculously *revitalized* the Hebrew language, *rebuilt* the institutions necessary for independence, *re-engaged* in rituals that are uniquely observed in the land of Israel, *redeveloped* the land and the economy so that by several magnitudes the Jewish and non-Jewish populations grew, and offered refuge not just to the remnant which survived the Holocaust, but also millions of Jews fleeing persecution from the Muslim Middle East, Ethiopia, and the former Soviet Union. Today, Israel is a *rich tapestry of diverse citizens,* including over half of Jewish Israelis who identify as Jews of color and 20% of whom are Arab citizens. *Peace Not Hate!* 🇮🇱💙
