There are many hidden messages within an exquisite piece of art. I look at our blessed mother as a temple, and within her is to become the Holy of Holies. Thank you. 🙏🏻

Mary's "Yes" came from her self-understanding; she knew herself to be the house-slave of God, thus her response. It seems that the fundamental error of man is that we do not have clarity concerning the truth of who we are. (Note also that Eve and Adam hid because of their self-perception; they hid from God because they perceived themselves to be naked, and saw that as bad.)

Al, I was able to see the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. It was amazing watching all the people doing pilgrimages on their knees for miles. It opened my eyes at the bright young age of 16 the honor of being in a sacred place. It was before they built the new one. Thanks for sharing this. We will be sure to make a visit there.

I have a Catholic friend who explained the cycle of readings and the lectionary to me. He also explained the liturgical year. He explained about "Ordinary Time" where the Sundays are set in order first, second, and so on. He said that since the Protestants had a lot of input at Vatican II, as well as in the forming of their new mass, he said that when they get to the Ordinary time of year, they just call it the first, second, and so on Sundays in Protestant time.

Pope John wanted to go visit Santo Spirito hospital, Holy Spirit hospital, which is about five blocks from Saint Peter Square. The papal car arrived and as John got out the nun of the hospital greeted him with these words: “Welcome Holy Father! I’m Mother Superior of Holy Spirit” to which John replied: “Lucky you, I’m just the Vicar of Christ!”😂😂😂

Cannot judge the man, but it is always wise, indeed imperative for a pope to obey the Spouse of the Holy Spirit, Mother of divine grace, Mother of good counsel, Virgin most prudent, Seat of wisdom, Help of Christians, Queen of apostles, Queen of confessors, Queen of peace. Perhaps her request for 1960 should have been carried out. Yet, because of her unconquerable wisdom perhaps what she wanted to be revealed was revealed precisely by the pope’s disobedience. As Adam disobeyed God, and “the order of the world was shaken” Ps 85. The disobedience of the pope shakes the order of the Church. And as the Blessed Mother prophesied at Akita, “cardinal opposes cardinal, and bishop against bishop.

Since I moved into Freising a month and a half ago, I couldn't help but notice all the places named after St. Korbinian as well as all the bear statues everywhere. I wasn't sure they were related, but when I looked up the Freising Volksfest (people's party), which is still ongoing at the time of me writing this comment, I read that it was a commemoration of 1300 years of Korbinian in Freising. It's wild to me how a saint who visited a Bavarian town over a millennium ago left such a lasting legacy. Freising's very image is still vividly shaped by St. Korbinian. The monastery he built in Weihenstephan Abbey now houses the world's oldest brewery, and the town's universities even offer full programs in brewing science. And the Freising cathedral, the most recognizable icon of the city, currently holds his tomb.

There is not one person who stand out in my life. I have always observed the good in various (not particularly good) persons I have met. But I can say that Mary Magdalene weeping at the feet of Christ is probably my inspiration generally.

Heresy. Apostle Paul said that it was a doctrine of devils to teach God's people to abstain from meats -- like "only fish on Fridays, abstain from other meats" -- read 1Timothy 4:1-5 again. Change your heretical moniker if you are truly a Christian that believes the Apostles.
