I miss Sears a lot. I’m a mechanic and majority of my tools came from there they closed ours in October 2019. I cleaned out the tool section on the last day. I purposely took off work just to go spend the whole day at Sears 😂 some of my coworkers done the same.

And Sears Canada just filed for bankruptcy, 12k employees to be laid off. Like Peter, all my clothes came from Sears when I was a kid... Looks like I'd better hustle if any of my Craftsman hand tools need replacing under their lifetime guarantee.

I work at Sears. It actually looks like this. We are so understaffed it's hysterical. Management teams are retarded and expect unrealistic sales goals. Hihh up corporate keeps pushing a Rewards program called Shop Your Way. it's the most retarded Rewards program I've ever seen. Most rewards programs are something like spend $0.10 and you get $0.01 back. Shop Your Way is like spend $100 and you get 100000 points back. 1 dollar equals 1000 points you do the math on that one. they keep sending us truckloads of useless stuff like as seen on TV gimmicks. the company has metrics for everything. I'm waiting for when they tell you how many times a day you can go to the bathroom. this company is going to hell in a handbasket and I hope the mighty corporate executives get to feel what it's like for the rest of us. they have cut hours to an all-time low in the peak of lawn and garden season. I had 5 weeks straight where I had less than 10 hours a week. the only reason I'm with this company is because I'm in college and the hours are flexible. That's literally The only positive thing. people haven't gotten a raise in over 8 years. Sears sucks potatoes.

As a former SHC employee, I am surprised that they've kept stores open as long as they have. Management and goals set by corporate are a complete farce, and the CEO is a snake oil salesman that has been slowly liquidating all assets over the past 8-10 years now. I'm glad I got out when I did, as better opportunities have come along. When SHC finally shutters all stores in their company, I hope it will serve as a wake up call to consumers and to businesses alike to improve service and shopping trends.

The corporate executives aren't going to be feeling your pain any time soon. Sears is still open only because it's in their best interest to keep it open. That way they can bleed more money off for themselves. Lampert knows exactly what he's doing.

Craftman Tools quality isn't what it used to be. They got rid of the lifetime warranty. The older tools last longer than the ones they make today.
