Dave, we didn't get the Overholt 11 year, and to us, the Sagamore 7-Year BIB is better than the Sagamore 9 year. Have you had the Sagamore 7-Year BIB?

Sugar Kitty we are glad one of our Patreons mentioned that glorious 9 year Corbin Cash Merced Rye Single Barrel. It was such a special barrel but we decided not to include any SB in our best of lists.

Only one I've tried is the Bardstown discovery and it was a .5oz sample. I could have got my hands on that bookers but it was over 100 and that's my hard limit

The most surprising brand in general for me this year was Rare Character. Literally everything I’ve tasted from them this year has been from great to insane.

@ I would generally agree! Though I’ve seen their ages in the single barrels go up with the prices staying the same around me so there’s at least better value. The LEs from them are another story but those are all unicorns so it is what it is on that end.

I was gifted a bottle of Early Times BIB in my stocking, by my amazing wife. That wonderful shelfer has been impossible to get in Oregon lately. And my buddy brought me a bottle of James E Pepper Decanter (which isn’t available in Oregon) from KY. First time having it and it was incredible! Both were awesome and the Pepper Barrel Strength made arguable the best Old Fashioned I’ve ever made. Cheers to you and yours for a Happy New Year!

Loved the k Luke sample pack you sent Todd as had never tried them. They are all amazing and will need to pull trigger on these going forward. Such interesting pours and I couldn’t pick a favorite as I liked each batch for different reasons. Great list!

I can see my 2025 will involve less bourbon quantity and more quality. When I started my bourbon journey I didn’t see the value in Getting a K Luke batch 10 at $110 but after buying 2 subpar $60 bottles I definitely get it now 😂. Just get the quality!

Great top 10! RR 15 was my top in 2024. Others up there were Coy Hill, Four Roses LE 2024, MM Cellar’s Age 2024 and Joseph Magnus Murray Hill Club Special Release #4. (Have not been able to find The Reserves) 🥃
