Game looks bad

Wonder if the ring of betrothal has any interaction with Arianna throughout her questline, although im sure by now someone has tried. The description about bearing a special child makes me think of her before anyone else considering her questline ends with her birthing a baby great one in Oedon chapel. Just seems like a weird thing to have in the game for essentially no purpose and based on it having some interaction leads me to believe it isnt cut content. Her blood item description also makes mention of her being a vileblood so shes connected to Annalise and Queen Yharnam.

This combines some of my favourite gaming components - BR style looting/shrinking zone (with a randomised map, no less), PvE as opposed to PvP, and souls gameplay (but supercharged). This has the potential to be a whole lot of fun. Sorta reminds me of Majora's Mask with the whole three day cycle.

Im conflicted.

We discussed how there are smaller service tunnels in the Rauh ruins, even though the main denizens of Rauh were probably giants / giant-adjacent. To the Hornsent / to Midra whose Manse was possibly a later addition to Hornsent culture as suggested by the presence of a Stake of Marika here, the height of Rauh could be considered 'an age long past', and we know there is a repeated theme in Elden Ring of every dominant culture having a clear defining difference with minorities and discriminating against them for it- even smaller size continues to be a reason for discrimination among basically every culture and age... the dragons to the drakes, the giants to the trolls, even humans being considered smaller than earlier humans, and the discrimination against the vulgar militiamen. The distance thing is harder to explain, but if seeing the hard and despair-inducing truths of the world is what inspires Frenzy, I would think a smaller servant class in Rauh could easily be frenzied, and it could explain the 'small' size of the spine. Rauh also seems to be a sort of Mesopotamia-adjacent 'Cradle of Civilization' archetype for the game, having ancient ruins scattered throughout the world and being considered the eldest of all the civilizations we know about or have names for, so that could tie into Nanaya's naming connotations. Her style of dress isn't completely unlike the carvings we've seen in Rauh, and her seated position + robe and shawl also put me sort of in mind of the giant skeletons from the Eternal Cities, if you've seen the speculation (with the clothing comparisons + common thread of gigantism with the giant skeletons) that the Nox are descendants of the Rauh culture.
