Didn’t know that Bonnie gave the other gang members an STD. Several books I’ve read hint to it but none come out and state it. I suppose for some morbid reason some want to keep their image clean.

The posse used Remington Model 8 rifles along with 1 1874 Winchester 30.30, a BAR copycat called a Monitor (can't recall mfg at the moment but I believe it was S&W), 12 gauge pump shotguns and many handguns as backup. There was no way they were getting away. Frank Hamer was a legendary lawman. The Legends of the Old West podcast has an excellent 5 or 6 part series on him worth listening to.

While this was interesting, I was wishing for graphics that matched the copy. If anyone can direct me to a resource that contains a cohesive telling of the 1900 Storm and the rebuilding of Galveston, I would appreciate it. Also, in all the videos and documentaries I've seen, I've never heard anything about how the mainland fared during the storm.

I've been to Greenwood Cemetery and saw Oliver Loving's grave. Bose Ikard is also buried there and Mary Martin (Peter Pan and mother of Larry Hagman of Dallas fame.) is also buried there.

What is Texas? It is a territory taken from Mexico and occupied by fraud , dishonesty and falsehood. Because the soil is rich and valuable is no defense for those who have taken and held that part of Mexico , and too without its consent and against its expressed desires. Call the Texasses sons of America? So are the sons of Botany Bay sons of England, but who will rank the transported convicts in New Holland with the honest and reputable Englishmen, and who will rank the Texans with the smart and intelligent sons of the New England puritans? They are citizens from the states, but they are those who have immigrated by their conceit, and have fled to Texas to avoid experiencing the gallows or behind the walls of a penitentiary. Horse thieves have emigrated to Texas, so have burglars, murderers, bigamists, embezzlers, indeed all criminals who have had the luck or ingenuity to escape the hands of justice, have thus sought refuge in Texas, that land of the rogue and den of scorpions. There’s your Anglo Saxon race for you, there’s a gang to be cried up the Anglo Saxon breed, Texas is just the place for them! We hope a territory twice the size of Pennsylvania will be equally rebuke in the eyes of the friend of freedom, and Texas, with its ponderous load of guilt and infamy, should be must be , at all hazards, union or no union, kept out! -Anti Texas Legion Protest, Dover Gazette Newspress

Thats the trouble with period movies of the 60'sand 70's. They were devoid of facts despite being based on a historical perspective and its taken 60 years of historians trying to provide the real facts to a Countrie's really poor education system.

No doubt...a remarkable feat. I just cannot imagine...the cost. The economy at the time...had to have been phenomenal. Lifting St. Patrick's Catholic Church 5 feet, in and of itself...would have had to have been...an exorbitant amount. And...they lifted ALL of their buildings, not just that massive church building. St. Patrick's...is a huge building. It amazes me...they were able to do that...and it remain stable all these years. Truly...a remarkable feat...that puzzles me. I just cannot imagine how they could have afforded to do this. Amazing.

Nice video! I would love to definitively know the fate of the Yellowstone. I am familiar with the area south of Houston that you referenced, and I once heard of a specific point where local children played on a deserted large boat. It isn't visible from the surface there. If anyone has more information on a definitive location, please post!
