Hello Debi, I just found this video as I have been looking for a tutorial on how to groom my own Cocker Spaniel. This Cocker is just beautiful! Great trim without taking too much hair. Would that be a "puppy cut"? I am new at this so I have a lot to learn. This cut is what I have been looking for. Could you tell me what clipper you are using and the blades too? She’s a sweet dog. I have 2 male 5 month old cocker spaniels. I’m going to attempt to trim them myself. I had another cocker spaniel years ago and he always let me groom him. But now that I’m older with osteoarthritis and cervical spinal stenosis. It’s hard to pick them up and get them bathed.

Where can I buy the stripping tool, (not the coat king)? :)

I find the amount of people who watch grooming videos without any idea about dogs insane.🤦🏼‍♀️ People are really put here like "omg the dog is shaking it's being abused" like y'all understand that dogs that are new to grooming get nervous right? This dog was very good compared to many dogs that I see.

Can I ask where you got your hand/thumb wrap? After 28 years of grooming, I struggle with such muscle fatigue and cramping. Lots of arthritis everywhere too.

I found a stray cocker and any little soft touch on her causes her to panic and attempt to bite. The groomer stopped and turned us out. The matting is terrible, the hair damaged and filthy. I just finished giving her a bath, but I need someone to give her a summer cut to start fresh. Any key words to use with a groomer to let them know of what to expect?

2 1/2 weeks post soft palette surgery and extremely worse. Seems to now be nose which never was the case prior & her Stenotic nares are fine Please help. This is awful watching

I worked a job where my coworkers would purposefully set me up to get bit. It was the cruelest thing I have ever experienced at a job. I had a few bites, nothing major. I had to quit my job single Mom of 3 kids. Its a shame because I was so favored by the owner.

Thankyou for this. Great info. I groom my 10 year old mini-schnauzer girl myself, she was adopted aged 5 after being used as a breeding dog and she is a nightmare to groom. She is hypersensitive from having very serious intestinal tract issues and bladder stones and her tummy is constantly bloated. Alas, I persist.

Hi Debi, I enjoyed the video, thank you! I have a question about the little clipper you used for the pads. You say it’s a mini Bravura, but it doesn’t look like any of the ones I’m finding online. It looks more rounded and comfortable to hold. Is it a discontinued style? I bought a Bravmini once and that was smaller and never really worked for me. Thanks! Alissa

I just got a black standard schnauzer from Skansen's Kennel. Gorgeous pup, 3 months old. I don't plan on showing so is it worth it to start/keep with stripping instead of clipping? Thanks Debi!

Do you have a link to the sanitary machines you use? What alcohol ratio do you use in both the spray can and in the machine? I have the sterilizer machine and I use the blue sanitation solution that they use In hospitals. But I would like to try out your way and get that nail sanitizer plastic thing and the one you use for the shears.
