Turn off the radio and then go to channel 10 and press hold Ptt and monitor button and switch on the radio while pressing monitor and ptt botton then this voice prompt will be off thank me later 😊

Just got 2 throat mics and planning to use the VOX setting on our radios when motorcycling......anybody had experience with VOX operated throat mic on a motor cycle........they come with a PTT as well....but hoping VOX will be ok. VOX in case anybody dont know what the is....some radios can be set to VOX triggered transmission....VOX it Voice Operated Transmission.....so taking into the mic triggers the transmitter.

I just found one Tlkr T80 (and it’s charge dock) abandoned in a bin.. This vid has helped me to get it working again..👍 I’m now sending calls into to ether trying to locate the other radio..😬👍

You can use mobile radio transmitters without needing a license. Provided that the broadcast is just a few words. The big problem is for those who have a fixed transmission station and a fixed antenna tower in their home and broadcast for long hours. I have been using the Baofeng UV-5R device for four years until this moment, without a license and paying ridiculous fees. Because I reject this policy. Something is not allowed and when you pay money it becomes allowed. This is big nonsense...

Wrong! The Baofeng is pronounced "BOOF-Whang"! My ex-girlfriend went on vacation to Japan for 3 weeks and she confirmed that is how to say it.

What's the best option for an audio only, long range, portable baby monitor in 2023? It can be walkie talkie or any other device. I want to walk around the neighborhood while listening in on the other receiver to make sure that my elderly parent is not having any problems. all U S A family service radios are 1/2 watt radios no matter who made them f c c rules gives you 1 mile range or line of sight only that is what mine do and these are not mine

You can set the frequency, but you also need to limit the power output to 0.5W otherwise you are breaking the law. There's a reason why license free radio is limited to 0.5W, so everyone can enjoy using it without overlapping others.

That's why he set Txp to low, it's 1w at that setting which yes, does exceed pmr restrictions for broadcast (Edited for clarity), but in an emergency... I'm just happy to learn I can use this on pmr as well as enjoying the extra power of it's full potential 😂

@@OldNavajoTricks not only 0.5W restriction is broken but having removable antenna as well. In case of emergency whole point of having a license to broadcast is moot as well.

@@OldNavajoTricksit's okay. Am just pointing out why PMR has those restrictions. They are set in place to limit the range on purpose so then because everyone can use them without overlapping themselves. I haven't used Baofeng radios, but I did hear they were really noisy when transmitting. In a sense they create a lot of noise around selected frequency, not that there's something wrong with microphone. But as usual, there's no harm in listening on any frequency.

check each radio to see what on the screen channel and code then do the same to each radio then thay will work together.

Its is a very poor item as the impeller wears after 2 seasons and cannot be replaced so renders the blower/vacuum useless. Another example of a trusted European manufacturer producing to a low cost using Chinese technology and maximising their profit.
