Hi Winnie, I have done it. I used baby oil and it did seem to work pretty well, but yea, it does leave oil on other journal pages. I used cotton swabs, it seemed to work ok. That tea dyed paper turned out nicely! It's sad that there was still oil after 4 months. I ended up just buying vellum. Thanks for the experiment! Great video! Have a blessed day!

I actually don't have part 5 done yet. I was dealing with some health issues and lost track of the book. My kids cleaned up my craft room while I was sick and I couldn't locate the book. Funny enough, I just found the book a couple days ago. I will finish the series but it will take me awhile. All I had left was to decorate the pages using napkins and decorating the cover. If you need help on how to glue the pages, you can watch this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gp3bq6mlr9qla80si=Eq6-THqcr6eKqkGS and skip to 8:47. He-e-y, where did you get kids who clean? I mean, I would not ever want to give up our daughter. BUT; well, you know. Well maybe you don't. Your kids clean. (Giggles + snorts) What I love is how you improve paper. I love paper. A lot. But not as much as I love my daughter. (Giggles) And how cool it is that you rediscovered the jj & I contacted you. Stay beautiful. Blessings now.

Parchment paper has silicone in it that's why food doesn't stick and that is why the glue didn't stick. It's possible the page protector has the same silicone . all you can do is try different things. I would think the image would still be good to try again on the plastics that did work.
@BellaSunshyn
@BellaSunshyn 3 ай бұрын
I figured that would be the case for the parchment paper but had to give it a shot. I really liked the outcome on the transparent film, easier to work with. Believe it or not I actually have more transparent film than page protector but I'll try it again on the page protector. Thank you for your feedback!

Hi Bella! I came over from Esther's Facebook group and thought I would come visit and give you a sub! This technique is pretty amazing. I think I remember seeing this technique some where, quite awhile ago, and completely forgot about it. So thanks for reminding by sharing this tutorial. I use PSP 7 and the mirror tool lines them up pretty good, so I don't have to move anything around so I think I will give this a try. It looks like a lot of fun, even though it can get a little tedious. Do you think that Mod Podge would work for the second technique? Curious about that. This was great tutorial. Thanks so much!
@BellaSunshyn
@BellaSunshyn 3 ай бұрын
I didn't try it with a mod podge because the one I have has a glossy finish. Also, when the mod podge is dry it can become a bit sticky. I know mod podge now has a matte finish you can purchase. Experiment with yours and would love to hear the result. Thank you so much for all your kind words!
