ADHD is a bitch. Everyone thinks it's just a quirky thing that gets over diagnosed (I agree wholeheartedly that it is over diagnosed in children) but in reality it's a bitch to be a full grown man and yearning so hard to be a normal competent adult. This song perfectly describes ADHD and he in fact did write it about his experience with it.

I never had any idols growing up. Never looked up to anyone. Never did I have someone i seen someone snd said “that what I want to be like when I grow up” until I seen this song live the first time years and years ago when he first done it. I’ve always been a leader. A head strong person from a kid I didn’t follow anyone. Wanted to be different and not like anyone else. So I’ve I turned out 2% like Mr Lewis. Well I’m ok with that.

I have always had an appreciation for anyone that can sit with a guitar and sing. This song proves that Aaron is something special that needs so much more acclaim then he gets.

agreed. not many people who can sit down and actually write songs for us themselves.

My dad has told me that my singing voice is similar to Aaron's. My dad asks me all the time to play Excess Baggage for him. I tell him, "Dad, my guitar is not in that tuning". Haha I play in a BSus2 tuning.

Jacob Minze He didn't mess up at all. If you're referring to the slight lyrical change from the recorded version, it's not a mistake. All of his acoustic versions contain those lyrics.

I just had to let you know 'Cuz I don't always let it show You give me needed room to grow And I just had to tell you so You fill me up You're in my veins A look could take my breath away And all these things, you give away Sometimes I take for granted It's just like poetry inside To hear you breathing by my side Like I'm in Heaven and I've died So glad you're with me for this ride You fill me up You're in my veins A look could take my breath away And all these things, you give away Sometimes I take for granted I see your face to start my day Makes my all bad dreams go away And all the stupid games we play Wouldn't have it any other way You fill me up You're in my veins A look could take my breath away And all these things, you give away Sometimes I take for granted You fill me up You're in my veins A look could take my breath away And all these things, you give away Sometimes I take for granted
