Great video, thanks! Silly question maybe, does the twist really stay in place as it's only knotted at one end?
@CreationsBySКүн бұрын
Good question, but yes, the rope does indeed stay twisted if you use this technique. Even if you try to untwist it, it will return to its original position

You do one of the best demonstrations of knot tying. very precise and easy to follow, I've seen many people post simple knot videos so fast I have to watch it 10 times to get it. Thank you !

Awesome technique! If you or anyone else interested in a (in my opinion) better option than the directional figure 8 or even the alpine butterfly, search “farmer’s loop / wireman’s loop”. Can easily be untied even after an extreme load. Thanks for this video. Can’t wait to try it

Dont you dare put this paracord crap on our culture. I'm not sorry for saying thay either. That is so damn disrespectful. It's like wearing a rubber wedding ring. Leave us, our jewels, and our culture alone. Go away. We're tired of this crap.

I linked my chain together to a diamond shape, I belive I had 4mm paracord instead (cheap one that was never straighten with alot of folds) The result became quite good actually. The cord became abit thick overall. 3mm whould be great size

That's so cool! One question. When you turn over to the other side, does it matter which direction you turn the handle? In the video, you first turned to the left. The second turn you turned to the right.

Definitely gonna want a marlin spike or something to get those figure 8 knots out especially if cold, wet or if it's been in place for a while. But I LOVE IT. Nice work!
@kurtschmidt57464 күн бұрын
Yeah. See the Awning Hitch (one end of a Sheepshank). Holds just fine, and falls apart w/out tension. Or, make a Cow Hitch, pull a bight from the working end up through, use that as your loop.
