Master Wang Er Ping is also wu shu champion many times and teaches 3 styles of Tai Chi : Chen, Yang and Wu. That is his Fa Jing is specifically different with the other grand masters of Chen style as Chen Zheng Lei, Chen Xiao Wang and Wang Xi An.
@Heping1 Жыл бұрын
Well, it's logic that his Fa Jin is different. He was foremost a modern Wushu athlete and now Wushu coach. Although having the opportunity learning from the above mentioned masters (he is a disciple of Chen Zhenglei and lived and trained for some months with Wang Xian) he spent most of his lifetime with Wushu teams (Henan as an athlete, Guangzhou as a coach). That has an impact. He mostly practiced Wushu/Taijiquan as a performing art not a martial art. But in the field of a performing art he was/is outstanding. But he will never reach the level of f.e. Wang Xian's Fa Jin.

The way GM Chen Xiaowang slammed/punched his right fist on his left palm when doing the Buddha Warrior movement...he used a lot of power. I would do it very gently, the way GM Chen Zhenglei did it because I found the knuckles of my right hand punching my left palm to be very painful. Even though I tried to use the flat of the back of my hand to hit my left palm, but the knuckles still got in contact with the palm...and the bones.
Very good! I really like this compilation! And very well executed! Biǎoshì ni de jìngyi (respect)!

Xiexie! Actually, it's just a reduced version of Xin Jia Yi Lu. Due to the time limit of the competition i removed 2 of the first 3 Jin Gang Dao Dui postures and a repetition after Xiexing Aobu and added 1 Jin Gang Dao Dui at the end to conclude the routine.

5:40 drop stance/pubu to jump front kick? any particular reason for this combo?
@wushu_jingwu_ar3 жыл бұрын
That's an intermediate changquan taolu combo, they use to do jumps from and to pubu and mabu as a power training, for instance "standing" tengkongbailian from and to pubu or xuanfengjiao from/to mabu.

Great impressions and very well done, Urs! Although I never learned this Gong Fu style, I can see the concentration, the spirit,. great body alignment and power on point from your teacher He Qiang! Just incredible and amazing! What is the name of this form? Is it Nan Quan?
@Heping13 жыл бұрын
Modern Wushu knows 3 Standardizations: Changquan for northern styles, Nanquan for southern styles and Taijiquan (i guess you know that). Nanquan as showed in this video consisted back then mainly of Hung Kyun (my traditional roots) and Choy Lee Fut. Today it is much more mixed and also has fantasy moves in it. Back then He Qiang was the best athlete as he won everything that Wushu had to give: National Champion, All China Games Champion and World Champion. He is one of the Top Ten living Wushu athletes along with other greats as Jet Li, Zhao Changjun, Yuan Wenqing or Wang Erping. It was an honor to learn from him.

@@Heping1 Thank you for the explanation, much appreciated! :-) I suddenly remembered of Wong Fei Hung, then the names "Xiao Hong Quan", "Da Hong Quan" from Shaolin popped up in my head - but I was afraid I was mixing things up again (which I definitely did). So I read some of the articles on your website and the website of your Sifu Wu Mei Ling, watched some videos, listened to podcasts on the "Wushu Tai Chi Akademie Konstanz" KZbin channel. And that finally brought some light into my minds darkness.
@Heping13 жыл бұрын
Yeah, one can be confused as there are several styles with the name Hongquan. That's why i use the cantonese term for Wong Fei Hungs style: Hung Kuen. The Da Hong Quan and Xiao Hong Quan versions in Shaanxi, Shanxi and Henan have a very different history and can be seen as ancestors of Shaolinquan and Chen Style Taijiquan. My Sifus website and podcast are a real good source for Hung Kuen, her son Pascal invested a lot of energy to explain the style and its history. If you are interested a bit in northern Hong Quan, this article may be interesting for you: craneinthetigersshadow.wordpress.com/2021/05/24/hongquan-eine-neue-these-uber-den-ursprung-der-chinesischen-kampfkunste/

Yes, it is. Although the creator of the style claimed to have learned in China and in the Shaolin monastery itself, the Shorinji Kempo and the organization was established in Japan. They just gave a demo there at the Festival.
