You married in an Indian cultural setting, but lost that 1000-year-old tradition by cross-cultural marriage! Clearly, you have hardly anything left as Indian or Tamil. That poor girl will struggle long to understand the depth of your world-view. Your kids will be traditionally totally zero. Indian males want fair skin, but the fairest of cultural evolution has no meaning for them. Her mother was weeping, rightly so. He has abandoned her for his fantasy. I am sad to see this type of marriage.
