Great question! When you sketch on your MyBodyModel, I suggest drawing the pattern the way that you *want* it to fit, and also write down any notes about modifications that you may need to make to the pattern to make it fit the way you'd like. So if you want the pattern waist to fit at your waist, then you would draw the waist ties at the waist marking (cross hashmark) on your croquis, but write a note to yourself that you may need to shorten the bodice (and perhaps lengthen the rise?). If you're not sure exactly where you want the waist ties to land, you can try drawing it a few different ways, for example draw one version with the waist at the natural/high waist, and another version with the waist ties lower down closer to where your belly button would be, and compare them side by side to make your decision. The 3-models page in your MyBodyModel Project Planner is a good one for comparing different versions side by side! Hi Caroline, great question. When I cut out the paper doll jackets, I left a part of the neck, where the collar goes around the neck, to keep the pieces together. It's not a perfect solution but it works!
