I plan on buying a new v8 tundra like 2021, I know not to buy a turbo engine truck, I learn my lesson with turbos in the 90s. I won’t take that chance again. Also I plan to tow a big boat, I won’t gamble being stuck somewhere with a boat on the back of my truck.

Thanks. It was a big help. I stuffed a plastic store bag in the opening below the studs to catch any nuts I might drop. Luckily I didn't (I would have if I hadn't done that) and the original cover lifts up and out off of a plastic stud. I had no luck at all pulling straight out, but a little pry from the bottom did the trick.

Lemon Law in my State.....there has to be 3 failed attempts before a consumer can file for Lemon Law. The resale value on these trucks will drop like a rock..... And in the end....this will cost Toyota Millions.....not just in repairs but future sales. Sad part is......all the manufacturers have issues now a days.

Hi, Toyota will make you go to arbitration and you should win because engine failure is a safety concern but they might come back at you and say its not a safety concern and not lemon law the truck. Toyota and it's dealers could not and would not fix my 2023 Tundra which had $30k plus in body defects at 5500 miles. I sued them and settle out of court. Raise holy hell and dump that truck now, it is completely worthless and perhaps the worst truck ever built. I would skip the lemon law and sue them directly for compensatory damages. You can do it without a lawyer as well. Toyota is not what it used to be, new trucks are total crap.

One neet trick is to wire the low beam wire with the hot from the headlight main switch. This way, when you switch to high beam the lows stay on and the highs fill in. On my 4 headlight system I kept one low on the edge of the road and the second low straight ahead. The left high was way over onto oncoming traffic and the right high was straight ahead. It would light up a 2 lane road beautifully.

Does it sound like the wind noise is coming from the mirror before you installed the seal? It sounds like it on mine, I got a 24 SR5 Premium and will be checking if I got this seal or not, if not then I know what I’ll be asking for, got an appointment on the 1st of July, hopefully will get it resolved quick, thanks for the video!
@TheGaginator3 күн бұрын
YES it was coming from that area. However, there is also a 'mirror' specific noise as well. It it from the lower mirror plastic cover. Toyota refused to fix mine after multiple tries, so I put black electrical tape on it.... on a $60k truck.... Then the engine blew up and I had Toyota buy it back from me.
@EnoxiusPrime3 күн бұрын
@@TheGaginator really sorry to hear that, yeah I’ve been having that wind noise even while I was test driving the truck, and they said no matter what it takes they’ll get it fixed which is why I love the Dealership I go to, and I’ve done tried the electrical tape on all those seal areas on the mirror and did nothing for the noise so hoping I was wrong and it’s just because of that area you fixed up

I had TLIF fusion S1-L4 last week. And i was up and walking by myself in the recovery room. I was discharged the day after and the first week was great. But after 9 days the pain went up again and i had to start back on oxycontin and oxynorm for another week. But overall it’s been much better than i thought. And for the first time in over 10 years i haven’t experienced any sciatica pain, and before the surgery i woke up atleast 2-3 times every night and the pain in my legs was fucking unbearable. I haven’t even woken up with pain once after surgery. So even though it’s only been 11 days since my surgery i can already say that it was worth it.

I just put the ttx ball joints on my 2016 Ram 2500 and the steering is wander pretty good now. I’m assuming the knuckle is getting stuck as seen in this video and then I have to correct it as I’m driving ever so slight and just fight to keep it going straight. Almost feels like I’m skating on ice or driving in really heavy wind or something. Only have around 60 miles with the new mevotec ttx ball joints but would you think I should keep driving my truck to see if they break in and it all fixes itself or would you recommend replaced the ball joints with a different brand like you did? Thanks

You paid 60k for a base model? lol plus my Silverado has been flawless with the DFM cylinder deactivation. Plus the seats in the tundras are ass. Unless it’s leather then it’s not worth it. The cloth seats or leather in the Silverado are amazing. Toyota has always lacked features that the competition has always had and improved on. The sound system in the tundra is ass and the remote start dying upon entry is ass. Only Mazda, Toyota, Subaru and bmw does that stupid shit. Toyota is worse now than the big 3.

Toyota bought this garbage back after my video posted. SR is base model though, mine was an SR5 with the Limited interior package. Maybe 3 "levels' up from base? idk . I wanted the nicer interior without a sunroof. The truck was $51,140 before taxes, dealer crap, and a 10yr electronics warranty. In my opinion, the seats in this truck were better than my current GMT900 Denali.

Waiting to see how serious of an engine failure my truck has. I have 11k+ on this truck. I had the oil changed at 2,500 miles by choice at the Toyota dealership. Filing lemon law as a " Mechanic" says alot...lemon does not apply , not even close. Unless it a reoccuring issue. The desler will buy it back if its is in the first batch of a suspected problem. Thats a while different story, Chevrolet did that with my Wifes Ttaverse. But here is my take as so.eone in the business. 1. You have a shitty service advisor. I contact all my customers daily , drop off, part orders , layovers, whatever. Everyone gets called and updated. And most everyone I work with is that way.Also the rental thing is what we called , shitty dealer syndrome, Unfortunately all dealerships are NOT the same , Just because its a Toyota. Im not only a Toyota Employess , I also drive a 24 Tundra , and I love it. The problem with the internet is it allows people to put out the worst info possible. Lets be honest, fo you make this video on a Saturday, just because you love the Truck... I think not because no one watches that. Now everyone with a coin rattling in the glove box thinks their engine is going to explode. I am glad to hear they got in a rental. Im confused as to why you couldnt have it transferred to your local Toyota dealership . Problems exist with every vehicle , And 1st years more than others , this is true. But its not as rampant as the online forums would make you think. For every one that is bad there are literally hundreds that are great, Also to Answer your question, if this becomes an issue...IF ...Toyota will likely put a TSB out and some sort of campaign that goes to 100k miles. If nothing else , Toyota stands behind its product much stronger than most. I will commend you for giving the positive angles, Ive seen people get on here and say " RUN " from Toyota, While they drive a Ford.... its funny really. Then you have folks who dont know what maintenance is complain about failures in systems whem they havent done anything but trash the vehicle the entire time theyve owned it. My advice to you... wait a year. Then trade this one in for a 25 or 26 . That the dire tion Im going. Also for ANYONE thinking of buying a First Model year..The absolute best thing to do is Lease it first . This way if there is a major issue you arent stuck with it.
