Hi guys! Lovin' the series lately, but I would like to suggest something for some future episodes two amazing bands. Casiopea live at Montreux 1983 kzbin.info/www/bejne/jabGdKN3rbZ-a9Usi=pYy0i_DLz-voFaUk musicianship on another level. Jamiroquai Too Young To Die (live presentation)- Bass and drums so tight the very best of Zender and McKenzie

Great instrumentation/production on this one. I also thought it sounded like a Bacharach thing. Here's a newish, well 10 years ago newish cut from Simple Minds that popped up in my feed that Dave might dig . It's the tune, "See The Lights" kzbin.info/www/bejne/g56uhYB3ltBqZ5I

Dave is not the first person to say this song pays homage to Burt Barharach. Knows his stuff that Dave. I've heard conflicting stories that he wrote this before he joined Oasis, one of the first songs he ever wrote when he thought his life was going nowhere. Also just after they got signed and they knew they were gonna go somewhere. Most people agree he wrote this on a train, like a few others he wrote.

D'Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman? Is a rare Oasis song where Noel sings lead and Liam sings backing vocals. I wonder if Dave would pick up on that if you played it to him. It's very young Liam so he definitely had the voice for higher backing vocals then.

Fun fact: Noel did buy a Jaguar, more specifically a 1967 Jaguar MkII drophead. It's a beauty too which I think it still with Jaguar in Coventry.

5:16 that Stand By Me single is legendary in Oasis fandom. And this is brilliant song. Noel and the High Flying Birds did a version of it during their Abbey Road sessions in 2023 and the backing vocals from Russell Pritchard and Jessica Greenfield made it magical. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3naq3Vqf96NldE

Vai and Satriani and a lot of these greats are really really good but none of them can really encompass the stuff Marty does. Every part of all of his songs is interesting and sounds like it means something. Many of the other guys just play filler that seems like throwaway wanking. What Marty does allows for even people who don't play guitar to hear and follow and appreciate it. That is such an important thing about him.

This is a great tune, very 70's glam rock. The Darkness played at Warwick Castle last summer, it was amazing (sadly I was away so didn't experience it myself). I've got tickets to the new album launch show in a few weeks time which is in a tiny sweatbox venue in Coventry.
