Merry Christmas Mike!Nice video and wonderful little fire. I agree we need to make sure we know how to use our gear and hone our skills for survival as well as just enjoy the outdoors. I pray you and your family are having a wonderful Christmas season and have a blessed new year.

Merry Christmas Top! Being in the field is a real chore: the more comfortable you are with your equipment, the easier it will be to remain effective. "Property/recon patrols" etc., wouldn't require comfort items... but if your occupying a position, they can sure make life easier.

You can repurpose all kinds of old Alice/Molle stuff. After all it's really just pouches, you can put whatever you want in them as long as it fits. And surplus is generally built to last and is generally cheap.

Chest rig set up is MISSION SPECIFIC. I prefer if we all through experiences share the same locations for the IFAK Blow Out Kit. Carry no less than 2 tourniquets. I recommend one on the front and one on the butt stock of your carbine. I use hair ties to secure mine until I find a pouch I prefer. Glad to see you put it to good use. 🤠🦬🦅🪶⛈️

Awesome video I like the way you set your Hi Point Carbine up I have a 995 in the ATI stock as well I bought mine used from a guy off of gunbroker years back tricked out with the full length aluminum rail aluminum trigger barrel shroud and very good steel flip up iron sights, too bad you can't hardly find these in the ATI stock set up anymore...and its very cool that your kids and grandkids all have Hi Point Carbines 👍

Very cool Mike! Funny I think that's the same one I keep in my pocket always. I don't use a Altoids tin but just the little pouch with first aid stuff. Nice and lite. I just started carrying it a few weeks ago, in addition to the rest of my pocket stuff. Great video Mike and pray your doing well.🙂

Hey man, thanks for the video! I really enjoyed the hike and views, but I wanted to take some time t comment on your "charity begins at home" sort of talk that you did. First I wanted to speak on the claim that FEMA funds were diverted to help people at the border, that is impossible because FEMA, when dealing with natural disasters such as Hurricane Helene is funded by the Disaster Relief Fund which has not and can not be diverted to help non disaster related issues (this can be confirmed on the FEMA government website Hurricane Helene tab). I do heavily agree with the sentiment that charity should start at home which is why I think of the 17.9 billion in military aid sent to Israel by the Biden administration to literally be used to bomb civilians en masse, a country like Israel doesn't need help militarily at all they could easily have killed 40,000 people without our aid, but still we've sent them 18 billion in taxpayer dollars in a year to slaughter civilians

LOL, when I was OTR, I used to carry a sterno stove, Stanley Two Cup cookset and a stainless steel dog bowl. I used the Stanley for coffee and the dog dish to cook in and eat out of. Easy to clean, easy to use. It worked well for me for many years.

Hey, that does look a whole lot better than the grey whatever-they-call-it stuff, of which I have plenty. I've seen another youtuber use walnut husks and it turned it all a nice brown in a near boil, so depending on where you live... Playing paintball in the woods behind my house, my cousin said the grey stuff was still really hard to see. I'm guessing that the digital breakup of whatever color plays a crucial role that may be more influential in being stealthy. That UCP or whatever is the only stuff that's really super affordable. I'd guess the blue digital that the Navy adopted is really cheap, too. That would be interesting to test dye to see if you can get a really dark breakup using some king of green or brown. Good stuff, man! I'm subbed now. Thanks for the vid even if it's a year ago, haha!
