All of the registers are responding so nicely...must be a good horn and a good player too.

Are there any guitar players in the comment section. If so, where to place it? I like the idea of this device, but as a classical guitar player I am using both hands pretty much all the time. Not sure this would work for me, but I like the design very much.

Works wonderfully! I have the Flic on the instrument below my right thumb. The only problem is that the Flic keeps falling off because the adhesive surface on the round instrument is too small. Does anyone have a solution or idea for this?

I think you did a great service at the very end of the video, by demonstrating that even a player of your caliber warms up with 3rds. Makes it easier for us to tell our students to learn their scales! Please do post another video when your recording is released.

Thank you for the video. My question, how well would work on a Soprano? Ive played Alto for a number of years and recently got a Soprano. I have thumb soreness with it that never occurs with my Alto.
@StephenPageSax10 ай бұрын
I think it works great on Soprano!! It's certainly very important on that instrument, regardless of whether one plays a straight or curved neck.
@leontius55023 ай бұрын
the lagan wrist saver is great.
@BobEasonSaxophone11 ай бұрын
Great video, Stephen! Have you found a comfortable place to put the button on your soprano? I bought a Flic2 a few months ago, but I couldn't find a great spot to place it when playing soprano -- maybe the neck strap clip is the best idea!
@StephenPageSax11 ай бұрын
Dr. Eason!! You're right, the soprano is a bit tricky to work with in this way, since we're a bit more engaged in balancing the instrument as we play (especially if using a straight neck). I've gravitated toward using it clipped on my neck strap for the most part, and it works just fine on soprano for me.

Do let me know what you think!
@ArcisSaxophonQuartett11 ай бұрын
I experimented with the Flic button a year ago, cause I hate the pedals on stage (as a spectator) - although I don't even play from iPad (yet). The constant foot tapping distracts me. Glad that you did this video. I also concluded that this is a good solution. Did you run into any disadvantages so far? I didn't like the reaction time, would have prefered a slightly faster response. You can make it quicker when you disable the double click for which the Flic waits after having clicked once. But still it could be more responsive. Is you pedal more responsive?
@StephenPageSax11 ай бұрын
I have not really found any disadvantages at this point. I do think this Flic2, as opposed to the original, has a faster reaction time. For me, it is a nice option, and I like that it is so small. Hopefully they will continue to develop the tech to be even better!

Any info on the title? The only association brought to mind for me is the former sax prof at UMass Amherst. Is that mpc a similar deal to the Delangle, with both metal and hard rubber elements?
@StephenPageSax11 ай бұрын
Yes, the piece was written for Lynn Klock, hence the title! You can read more about it at www.yuseflateef.com. The mouthpiece is a new design in the Rousseau line, which we released a few years ago now. A fantastic new design, with two options, the Classic and the Custom; I play the Custom.
