The only true tree or stump splitter or gruber a rare not made any more by fleco is a stump block with a splitter attached on it in which we made the splitter an I have one on a d7 cat,,, what your seeing is a tree saw the stump is still there in the ground ,,,my family done it for 50 years pushing an splitting fat lighter pine stumps for Hercules powder company through the the south east my dad started back in the 40s an is continued till now used on a cat d7 or d8 dozer

How many passes to cut the bigger trees that’s pretty Awesome though and would also be cool a close up of the blade and a close up on cutting proses thickness of the blade so stay Awesome that’s a Amazing peace of Equipment there .

Hi, Folks. NOT the way I would choose to do it. It leaves the stump in the ground with ZERO leverage to get it out and there is little to NO control over where the falling tree will fall once it is cut - - - INCLUDING the strong possibility of having it fall back over the machine - AND the operator. Thanks all the same but I think I'll stick to using a dozer with a ripper and/or a tree pusher bar or a track front end loader with a ripper. Just my 0.02. You all have a wonderful, SAFE day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

So instead of using the dozer to push the tree out with the roots in one shot we can cut it down with the dozer then go back and try to pry the stumps and roots out. Obviously not a good solution if you need stumps removed
@TheBrushcutter
@TheBrushcutter 3 жыл бұрын
If the stumps have to go they wouldn't use this. An excavator would be the best method for removing the tree and stump. The area he's in looks to be pasture land. He is probably just getting the trees out of the way, this method leaves the stumps low enough that they can be mowed over and not tear up a mower. The issue then is filling stump holes repeatedly because stumps don't rot away all at once. And hitting a stump with a mower is one thing, running a tractor off into a huge hole while telling yourself "I know there is a huge frickin hole around here somewhere" becomes a whole different thing. Or there's also the whole calling the sheriff to report that someone stole 5 of your cows, only to have the deputies show up and find them all in big ass holes where the stumps used to be kind of situation. 😱😒😒🤣🤣🤣
