It depends on race & sex but the Dragonborn varies from 5’9” - 6’4”. So if the Dwarven spider extends to its max height, I would say around 3’0”.

Maybe with that bike it's possible to get pass the guy that said "trained professionals only". I've been watching the map and it looks like there are more places to visit here. However, I've been trying to get the bike the same way you did and it hasn't worked for me.
