how did you hear up the main course??? no heater included in HDR???

Thanks for watching the video. The main course is already prepared and can be eaten either cold or heated in some other way. I heated it myself in a water bath. It can also be poured out of the bag onto a plate and heated in the microwave or heated separately in a pot.

Excellent review as usual and maybe it's my chefs mentality but many of these rations seem like incomplete meals with random snacks thrown in

Hello friend. I have only had one of these, much older like you showed. New one looks good, and easy to open. It does look lighter on the meal, agreed. I never liked rye bread, or hot tea, until I started doing rations Yrs. ago, but love both now. I see Europe still provides plenty of beet sugar. I like it. Much different than our cane sugar. Only dislike is wooden spoon. I know, biodegradable, but you taste the spoon, as much as the meal. The foreign FRH'S, warming-heating bag, beats U.S. hands down. Ours are pitiful. From my side of your camera, looks like you had an awesome meal. To me, all items looked fresh. You even got the rye bread apart. Some countries now put plastic dividers between slices, if you haven't lucked into any yet. I am glad, someone still mentions to wipe the bag down, out of frh. When I use one, I always do. Anymore, I just boil in a pot or pan. It always works, Unlike frhs, LOL. Glad you enjoyed, despite some items missing, that would be beneficial. Stay safe, Peace from Kentucky, U.S.A., John.

Thanks for watching and commenting. The new US MRE packages (the ones with the transparent plastic on the other side) reportedly have more efficient FRHs than the old ones. I haven't been able to test such a new version yet. I myself eat rye bread and oatmeal daily as well. Oats have more fiber than wheat, and the fiber binds sugar and then releases it into the bloodstream more slowly, so the body doesn't get such a sugar rush, but rather evenly, and then you can cope much better throughout the day. At home, I often heat meals in a boiling pot as well, but sometimes, because of the viewers, I also do it in a heating bag. The next video will be a Ukrainian MRE, it's already on the shooting table waiting for me to make it due to my other busyness.

@@RandomMRE , I always enjoy your reviews, and look forward to your next one. The newer meals of ours, with clear backing, are not readily available to me locally. I hear, FRH'S are better, but to me, new packaging looks cheap, like commercial versions. If I luck into one, I will gladly try and share. Bourbonstjoenola reviewed A newer pizza ration tonight. As always, very cool friend. I have tried several Russian meals, but not this particular one. I am familiar with the components. Shame on damaged packet. Apple jam is awesome. Unlike some people, I love the veggie caviar . Kasha is always good as well. The crackers, well, they are what they are. All meals look good. Glad you enjoyed most. Peace, John.

Very cool friend. Time consuming, but cool. Lots of good food throughout the varied meals. Guinea , I have never lucked into. The others, I have tried some version of. Had the RCIR, but not the individual meal. I love everything in the French menus, but the nougat bar. Too aromatic for me, LOL. I am glad yours did not include. I hope okay, I decided to check out some more of your reviews, friend. Again, nicely done review. Cold drinks would have been nice, agreed. Food looks good. Peace, John.

Very cool friend. I do not remember seeing this before? The packaging reminds me of the Chinese rations. Even pickled veggies. I'm glad you wiped down the packages. Very smart move. I used to preach that on my reviews, but since U.S. FRH'S are so weak these days, I just boil in water. Works better, LOL. I am glad you had A good meal, and had some fun along the way. Great job. Thank you for watching the video and commenting on it. That heater was really cranky. It was still blazing hot even after the cameras were turned off. Instead of one heating pad, there were two of them inside, although one would have been quite enough. The next video is already in the works, so it too has been made earlier than at most two videos. Or at least I haven't found more of it.

Amazing video, i love to see the 24h MREs especially sinse they go a little deeper into the culture of the country and what they eat, you can really see the difference between eastern, western etc. Thank you for the video!

People who complain, have no idea what is involved, in doing one. As Dave said, he sux, even without proof of video ever presented, LOL Keep posting , I went through this crap years ago, and still do. I must respect someone's opinion, before I consider it an insult!! Nice review. I have to look back, unsure if I had Czech or not, ? I think one, sent from Delicious from Poland. I am familiar with most components. European rations, are very similar, as to the makeup of them. European sugar, is made from sugar beets, unlike our cane sugar. I love it. Mains, snacks, jams, jellies, all look good. Keep posting, people will enjoy friend. I notice you do voiceovers, do not be afraid to use your own voice. I have told many others this. I do not like my own, Southern accent, but some do. Be yourself, be real. Main thing my friend. Excellent post and review. Nicely done. Peace, John.

All products are fresh. There are a few components that are not quite to my taste, but they are not bad either. The second part of the video is moving to editing at a good pace, and it will probably be ready by Monday.

Thanks for the review! You decided for an interesting approach-to delete (almost) all sounds, noises from the recording and replace it with music. It gives some feeling of tranqulity to these videos. Is it your voice or you employ a professional actor?

Thanks for watching the video. The next video may be a little more familiar to you. We try to keep the background music on precisely because it removes, for example, the frame sounds of the cameras and other hisses from the background. And, we only use original paid voice actors. 😉
