This happened to me 3 times at least. They just put the slip in the mail box on the street, not even on the entrance door.

Are the mesh interchangeable between the PA and Outback?
@fishingwithmg5 ай бұрын
No I don’t believe they are, I’ve had a pro angler 14 and I think the seat on those are much wider and taller than the Hobie outback vantage seat.

What’s the best bait for flounder? Plan on taking my son out to the Pawleys Island bridge soon! Thanks!
@fishingwithmg5 ай бұрын
I’m no salt water angler expert, but the lots of the locals tell me you can’t go wrong using shrimp on a bottom rig works well for just about anything out there! I hope you and your son have a great fishing weekend!

Dude that's awesome and thanks for checking out the video. I've been so busy I've just been compiling footage from trips and haven't had the time to put them all together. Glad you got a good one on the bull Shad and hopefully I'll run into you again one of these days!

Nice one! I'm surprised that there are still giants in that park. I quit fishing there since I got a boat.
@fishingwithmg Жыл бұрын
thanks! Always surprises myself too. I've got a yak and just haven't had the quality fishing time to go latey. It's 5 mins away fromy house so I just go there now to take the fishing itch off when I can't go out for too long or setup gear before a trip.
@ultimatelugia2915 Жыл бұрын
@fishingwithmg Yeah, I feel ya. The last time I was able to take my boat out was in July. Unfortunately, I have to renew it now. It may be even longer since my titles are mailed from Columbia.

Thanks man, it hurt lol. I went back there everyday and to this day I still look around for it just in case it’s rusted the hardware and it floated back up to shore. sometimes it just happens and luckily a few months later I managed to get on another drop this time a chad low float and managed to also get a legend too.

I love this little lure my blades were flat so they didn't spin at first so I just bent em a little and it was a Bluegill catching machine with that tiny little hook.

Oh man so sorry for your loss of the bait. Sucks. Not sure what knot you're using. Switch to San Diego Jam if you haven't already....or it could have just been bad line or you had a nick in the line you didn't realize. Either way tough break !!

The lake is what, 7 miles long?! I've 3 miles from the county landing! How many bass are in it, dumbasses! Every redneck in 40 miles is watching! This is not Santee Cooper, it's a small lake, with one public landing ! How many rednecks can that fishery support?!

where did you find the mod to reverse the kickstand. I need to do that. The original style drives me crazy
@markgamboa Жыл бұрын
All you have to do is reverse and flip the spring that's screwed down and it will keep the kick stand out. Nothing major but hope that helps.

Fishing with 30lb braid my father got chewed off fishing in NJ with a Keitech swimbait we thought it was a pickerel half hour later I hooked a bass with it in his mouth and was able to retrieve it and let him go...Seems that abrasive pad on the upper jaw is sharper than it appears might have happened in this video also?
@fishingwithmg Жыл бұрын
Wow that's crazy!!! And actually that has happened to me where bass would completely get the bait down its mouth and only the line scrapes those sharp sand paper like teeth during the fight and could have caused a kink or fraying on the line. I've broken off bass that way a few times on smaller line with conventional baits. Hard to say really now, but I'm definitely been more vigilant each time I hook up on a bass I check my line and knots, and retie when in doubt.

@fishingwithmg Жыл бұрын
Thanks 🙏 one of my fav catches. I started throwing swimbaits a few years ago and was wondering if these big jerkbait would work just as well and damn this big rapala lure has been getting on em! Tight lines!
@JakedeBin2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Mark. You still throwing this? Any nuances with the bait you've picked up on since then?
@fishingwithmg2 жыл бұрын
Hey man, I still do actually and have caught a few more on it since this video. During the warmer season it does tend to want tend to go down a bit more when you crank it down and work it faster, and a bit more on the opposite side when fished during the colder seasons. But with that said I did change up the hardware from stock splits and hooks to compensate for the water temp changes and how to make it go deeper or fishing it in shallower water. The best way I’ve been able to hook up was fishing it slightly faster rips and jerks then stopping it for a few seconds and then followed by slow and short stops. And repeat. They seem to always nail it on the tail end of the pause and when your just about ready to begin the action again. I hope that helps!
@J.WannaFish2 жыл бұрын
ah man, that sucks you lost it. KGB was live in IG earlier and mentioned there was some on his site. So i was able to pick up a bone colored one. i like the action that you showed on the bait though
@fishingwithmg2 жыл бұрын
It's all good man, it happens! Was fortunate enough to get on the latest drop of the low float Smooth Chad and then a week later the bone Legend! Definitely more careful with these but still doing full sends on them these past few weeks! Glad the video of the action got you pulling the trigger on these bad boys!

Do the trees suppress the wind there? Seems like it would
@fishingwithmg2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, with my experience it almost does a tunnel effect in that oxbow lake. Certain times though it will suppress and shield you from the wind depending on direction, but for the most part its more a wind tunnel effect especially around the bottlenecks.

For a pretty inexpensive bait, just pull the trigger and buy :) It's worth it, I've caught plenty with the 105F and 85 size over the past few years.

Thanks Gary!!! Much appreciated and man I'd take a lunch break like that every day if I could LOL! That is definitely one of the best looking baits I've owned and damn it looks good. The looks matches the action and it gets bit!

Sorry for that loss. Just had a giant break off my tiny klash recently. Thanks for sharing this footage. It’s a bummer but all I can think of is what I can learn from these misfortunate events. I’ve come to realize that knots start to degrade after making a lot of casts. My mistake was forgetting to re-tie after 2 fishing trips 🤦🏻♂️
@fishingwithmg2 жыл бұрын
Oh man I’ve learned that lesson to always retie after a few good casts and when your spidy senses says retie don’t get lazy lol. What I learned from this is just let it go and move on, it happens, focus on the next and always learn from mistakes. I got fortunate enough to get another Smooth Chad on a KGB drop and this time it’s a floater! I’m sorry about your loss about the TK, that’s def a bummer!

Thanks! I believe this is one of his OG gill design from back when he first dropped them and it has the brush tail too. I bought it like new from someone that had it as a backup since he has several of them, bought this earlier this year possibly right before spring.
