BT8 kokuwamon is a funny card to counter the new hybrids. Stop players from ignoring deigivolution requirements. Could be a fun little tech if you can fit it in.

Glad you covering the cards take the time to review them all it helps a lot of us knowing your deep toughts about them and are deeply in thanks to ya; Yea me and the boys pretty much figure out Gallantmon is too dependant of what the opponent does and has too many side requiriments is trying to fullfil to get his gameplan across; Funny Enogh the new Guilmon and Growlmon do provide a bunch of amp for your deletion effects-even more if you stack the X antibody Line you are easely deleting a 12DP with your new Bt17 Wargrowlmon-13DP if you count your Gigimon from Bt12 I do not see myself using the new Blocker Gallantmon as my main beater do but it would be a good 2nd big body to warp into as your finishing turn play//And the new Crimson Mode I feel works way better in chaos Gallant since is way more focused on milling from both decks

Bandai is spreading themselves too thin but I'm still excited for this game way more than any other game except for one piece. Bandai should just stick with one piece, union arena, and digimon and just stop making the rest.

The busted in the gallantmon lvl6 is that his effect is when digi and when attacking and NOT once per turn. You can get +6k lol

I am really hyped for both the hybrid stuff, shine and dexdoru the blue hybrid stuff is mostly just cuz new good hybrid line for koji god bless red hybrid seems nice Mono yellow shine looks so fun and dex is cool

The most important card in the set is Pipismon. That card enabled us to play Patamon armor rush!

Imperialdramon is Tier 1, but it's the bottom of Tier 1. Magnamon X, Numemon, and MirageGaogamon are much tougher to play against for most decks and have cards that are downright unfair. BT16 Paildramon is powerful, but he's fair. You can suspend and swing into him, raid into him, de-digivolve him, or just have play by effect floodgates to completely shut down what the deck wants to do.

really liked the content but i have to clarify one thing. pokemon is not 300 to 400 dollars per deck, worlds is coming up in about 3 weeks and most meta decks for worlds are around 40 to 80 dollars, some decks might reach the 100 dollar mark but thats pretty rare. it is a really cheap game in comparison to basically every other game

I believe it’s the 2nd of August because some stores will have prerelease event on that day, it’s always one week before (9th August). Here in Australia the stores are allowed to legally sell boxes on the prerelease date. Not sure in US/canada though. Perhaps tcgplayer is doing the same presale event for prerelease date.

I absolutely LOVE Deadpool and Wolverine! I can't believe they had a Digimon TCG reference in the movie, they played a game near the end for control of the Infinity Stones. Deadpool ran a Diaboromon deck while Wolverine ran a Wargreymon tribal. (If you haven't figured it out I haven't seen the movie yet but I really want to!!! He's my favorite "Super Hero")

I feel like we need to promote jank decks again. That and just use some of the generics. With popular decks being reliant on archetypes, it kind of creates a cycle of cookie cutter decks to compete. Funny table play is best play. And sometimes good ideas can come from that. I've really liked that one small "archetype" in Japan combining Birds and Vegetation for a wide bottom end and just good stuff like Leopardmon X on the top for control. We need more out of the box thinking like that.

If I can bring up a ban list topic here I think maybe one of the things that could/should be hit or looked at is the new Davis and Ken from bt16 and possibly the new option card for imperial coming out. From my experience, the Davis and Ken spit up a free body every turn at no cost and has alot of positives to it and no drawbacks really. I know that option card coming out in bt17 is really good and might want to be looked at in the future.

honestly, if there was another fun way to play digimon, like commander, I think it would help expand the fan base, creativity and fun.

5:42 *deep sigh* in all honesty, this is how I’ve been feeling about Digimon. These past two weeks I’ve been looking at DBSFW and Lorcana gameplay and I’ve been missing the whole, “build any deck for fun and enjoy the game.” feeling. Digimon is just full of 4 repetitive meta decks and it’s not enjoyable as it used to be. Waiting for another set to come out only to continue seeing the same meta top day in and day out is sucking the fun out of it. Lorcana is so diverse that I’m honestly considering playing that now and Digimon will just be my toxic ex that I’ll come back to from time to time just for a minor enjoyment. What should I do Mario? Or anyone? Asking for a friend 😢

Honestly, the ukko choice restrict is bound to happen. Honestly the best route that Bandai can make is so you can only have a combination of 4 ukko, unless you have big Ukko in your deck. Bandai will most likely do that and see how it settles. Next banlist is either soon or in format unification
