Do you perfer tires over tracks?
@GritnGrind4256
@GritnGrind4256 2 күн бұрын
@@StumpGrindingGirl great question! My machine before this was a zt1844 (the precursor to the sg40) and had tracks. I pork ably would have gotten this one in tracks had my dealer had one but this was the only 2550 they had received from bandit in 3 years, and it was ordered 3 years earlier. There are pros and cons to each. Tracks offer less ground pressure on lawns but you if you’re not careful you can ruin lawns by turning too quickly. The trade off is even though I have 4x4 on this machine, it is easier to get stuck in the mud. I do enjoy turning easier on lawns though but I will say if you go tired machines make sure they are foam filled tires and 4x4. I definitely want the sg75 like you have. Thanks for watching!

I would think that when leveling it out after grinding, leaving a bit of a mound where the center of the grinding took place would be advisable due to settling over time. Especially without any degree of leveling and compacting…
@GritnGrind4256
@GritnGrind4256 3 күн бұрын
@@hoopaholicstickum definitely! It depends on what the customer wants. It doesn’t show completely well on camera but I always leave ones like these a little high to allow it to settle. Depending on what the customer wants I compact them a little more using the weight of the machine running over it but in this case the customer wanted to plant another tree there so a lot of compaction wasn’t necessary. I do advise customers who just want to leave it to settle that after grid grinding to let it sit for at least a week (longer the better of course) and then they can start to work with it. In other cases sometimes they want it completely mound up or they will take it out and fill it with topsoil and I won’t even bother leveling it. Thanks for watching!

@@joenissan yeah I love mine. Thanks for the info on the spray! I actually put some on the terminal then out my connections on then sprayed again. Why would there be any difference from on from cub cadet and one from another store they are all built in the same factory. I dont think yours is built any different than someone elses. And you should have pay ed less for it than anyone because you bought it from the factory right? Just my opinion
@GritnGrind4256
@GritnGrind4256 3 ай бұрын
@@danielpadgett2831 good questions! This one came from our local cub cadet dealer not Home Depot. For context this machine was about $3,000 USD brand new from the cub cadet dealer. The “same mower” could have been bought from Home Depot at the same time for about $1,500 USD or basically half the price. How could that be? Cub cadet, John Deere, all of the brands you can get from the big box stores use slightly different motors (identical from the outside but HP could be different and internals are different. If you look at the deck quality you will notice slightly thinner steel, and little things like that that all over these machines justify the price difference. If you ever get the chance check the machine at your local Home Depot against the one from your local dealer and if you look closely, you can see the difference. That isn’t to say the ones in the big box stores are junk, just that they are built different.

@@GritnGrind4256 I tried out the groundskeeper 2 over the weekend to mixed reviews. At first I was not very happy with the green grass blades I saw when I began using it. It did take a little getting used to because unlike a standard rake the effort is very minimal. But there were some areas that it worked amazingly as well. I am the 3rd owner. First owner was a lease for about a year then the second owner had it for most of its life. I picked it up with 150k on it now I’m just under 160k. The def system is all new (heater went out) and fuel system is all new (accidental def in diesel) that the previous owner installed before I got it.
