Starbuck is scared of Athena that's why he ran from her she is too much woman for him to handle

Athena and Lt. Starbuck were a nice couple. Unfortunately....when Starbuck proposed to Athena she was sooo hurt.. she lost her mom to the CYLONE attack on Caprica and her younger brother was in his viper blown out of the sky. What a tragedy. The door was wide open for another woman to win Starbucks heart. Cassiopea came and the door was closed. Cassiopea at Lt. Starbuck made a wonderful couple too. I'm glad they tied the knot.

It's funny but i made me mad when Starbuck would seem to fall for Athena and then almost avoid her. I wanted to shake him and say look she's your match not Cassiopea! lol.

I agree with the comment above that this is definitely one of the best couples from Battlestar Galactica. Next to Apollo and Serena:)
