_I believe that the portrayal of anthropological phenotypes in Western media is highly politicized. European populations are often presented in a positive light, as being more attractive and harmonious, when compared to other groups. This create a virtual reality in which the West is seen as the epitome of harmony, but I fear that this perception may not hold up in reality. The West may fall short of its own ideals, due to its own unjust practices._ 50% of Russians have light eyes and hair (grey eyes and dark blond hair too) - that's over 80 million people (without Ukrainians and Belarusians). Out of the 160 million people in modern Russia (with the new 6 Eastern Ukrainian regions), about 120 million are ethnic Russians. Some local groups of ethnic Russians, like those from the Volga basin, have a more narrow face and taller stature, as well as lighter skin and more graceful features than people from Scandinavia and northern Europe, because of local mutations and the ancient migrations of Proto-Indo-European people to Russia and then to Europe. Most Russians live in the European part of the country(>70% ). About 77% are ethnic Russians, and over 60 million live in the Volga area - this includes Finno-Ugric, Baltic, Slavic, Iranic, Turkic, and Germanic groups. Nowadays, it's very mixed and Russified. The Volga is the biggest river in Europe, and it splits the European part of Russia right down the middle. It's about two kilometers wide on average, but near the city of Tolyatti it's five kilometers wide. If you go swimming downstream from Tolyatti, it'll be twenty kilometers wide - it's like the main transport artery of Eastern Europe! That's where all the ancient people and tribes used to migrate through. Real Russia/Provincial Russia, Middle Volga river, Volga Federal District, Togliatti city (population 685,619 people, ethnic composition (top3): ethnic Russians 85.5%, Tatars 6.8%, Ukrainians 3.48%, and others<0,5%. The body adapts to extremely cold temperatures by changing the shape of the face. The cheekbones get bigger, the chin gets more pointed, and the nose and jaw change shape. The ears also change to protect against frostbite. The skin loses its color, and sometimes the earlobes merge with the cheeks. PS:

What website is this?

Most images are from humanphenotypes.net but some are from a website that is down now. I made the continuums and you can find more on my channel in a playlist called "phenotype continuum shorts".

The facial averages are from a website, most are from humanphenotypes.net/ , but some are from another website that seems to be deleted now. What I did was I arranged them into these continuums, mainly to demonstrate that "races" don't fall into neat categories like is often assumed (due to unequal immigration, ie: how many Central Asians, Siberians or Papuans live in the USA?). But they also serve as a "tour" of the indigenous phenotypes of the globe. I made 30 or so, many still to be uploaded! Uploaded ones are in a playlist on my channel.
