Heard this for the first time tonight ...there is a Hot Press digital article about 18 bands ( Irish obviously) that should have conquered the world. Love 'n this one.

Possibly the most underrated lrish band ever. Me my friend and sister went to see them in Bray Ireland from Stepaside which is a long way without a car. And even though the gig was nearing bus stop time we never left it was that good. So chipped in for a taxi. Saw them a few times at the trip to tipp.

Lace Virginia Lyrics. 🤘🎤🎸 I can picture you now an elegant arrangement Of what used to be your dreams, hopes and desires As pretty as an angel in derelict dimensions If you fall to pieces so do I I can picture you now an innocent reflection Of a kiss that hangs on twisted lips Darling little angel of heavens late abandoned If you fall to pieces so do I Oooooooooooooooooooooooo Lace Virginia I sell tomorrow oh, Lace Virginia To chase you tippy toed, a dandelon thief Or we could just roll our eyes and talk of things that fool you Oh I'm sure we'd talk forever Oooooooooooooooooooooooo Lace Virginia You might also like Julian An Emotional Fish Blue An Emotional Fish Celebrate An Emotional Fish Embed About Have the inside scoop on this song? 🎉"Celebrate" lyrics. 🤘🎤🎸 She insists that she's a lunatic, closer to the bone She hardly ever visits upstairs, we'll ride the telephone Well I guess beauty does what beauty does best It's beautiful She says that's the trouble with reality It's taken far too seriously I do hope God is good to me And Santa Claus to the children Celebrate This party's over I'm going home Celebrate This party's over I'm going home. His essential complications are hung up on confused It's a planet full of traffic lights and traffic light abusers But that's no stranger than strange Or any other stranger He claims it's dangerous to be innocent 'Cause you're the victim every time Histories of insanity intruding on the sane Celebrate This party's over I'm going home Celebrate (celebrate) This party's over I'm going home Histories of insanity intruding on the sane Even if your problem is the problem do we have to play this game? great band , I saw them for the first time in Ghent, opening for Simple Minds, I fell in love from the first notes, a superb show and a typical rock voice that I love, I have their 2 albums

This sounds like the same audio as for the song when it's labeled Plastic Orange at kzbin.info/www/bejne/nobSmmOXj5anrdE . I'm hearing what sound like some uncharacteristic keyboards in each. If they're the same, I'm wondering which one is the original audio.

@itsonlyarlo Thank you. I am so sorry to hear of your own lost. It is not easy. In time the grief wil become more manageable but it wil come and go in waves. I believe my Mother is still very much close to me and I wil see this through signs and listening to this song. So do whatever helps you feel closer to her. A person once said to me that grief is love for the person you have lost so why would you want to get rid of it? Take care. 💖

I bought the original 4 track EP one day on Cassette and I only bought it because I loved the band name. Fluck me, what a discovery. Then I followed them all around Dublin. One night I was in a small club in Bray, just outside Dublin, rocking to CELEBRATE. Gerry jumped off the stage and came down to me, held my head in his hands, kissed me on the forehead and said shut the flukk up man, you're singing louder than me. Hahaha. Yeah straight up. What a band! Amazing writing. Shine on Gerry. ;)

Bought this album as a 17 year old in 1990. As I did with House of Love's album the same year. For me, the two albums occupy the same territory in my musical/memory landscape.

I was 18 years old in 1990. My favorite bands at that time were House of Love, James, An Emotional Fish, U2, The Stone Roses, The Cure, The Cult, The Mission, Simple Minds, Texas, New Model Army, Sting, Queen, etc... Unfortunately, I have never been to England, I have always been afraid of flying. But I watched the bands that came to Hungary to perform live. The British music is the best in the whole world. It has always been and always will be.

I met this band in Bologna in 1991 they were the support group of Simple Minds for a concert there. The night before the all band was tryng to order some food in a fair were they were going to play the day after with the Simple Minds. They couldnt speak any words in Italian so I helped them-I didnt know who were this guys!-I explaind them the food and so on and they invite me and my girlfriends to eat toghether .We eat, smoke some jonts and we slept in one room with two of them.Me and my girl in the bed ,the drummer and the guitarist in the soil of the room. They gave us the pass for the concert for the day after and for the entrance of the post concert for spent some times sill toghers. I still have some papers with funny stories about me and theirs autographs. My good! What a memory and what kind of guys they were!!

They did a signing of their first album in Grafton St in Dublin, I believe in HMV. They then did a free gig for the fans in a club, I can't remember the name of it, but it was diagonally across from St. Patricks cathedral, and if I remember rightly, that gig was the last gig the club did, before being bulldozed to the ground. It was brilliant gig. I saw them in Whelan's of Wexford St as well around the same time, and that was brilliant as well. In those places, the band was practically on top of you, and we'd be all moshing and head-banging and drinking, having a great time. Looking back remembering the bands of the day, such as Something Happens, The Four of Us, A-House, and the clubs in Dublin such as McGonagles, which was basically a basement, with sweat soaked walls, moshing, drinking Ritz , as it didn't have a beer licence, and the occasional Garda (police) raid, where the shutters to the bar would come down, and we would all be standing around, trying not to make eye contact with a Garda, just in case he came over and ask you where you got the drink. They were the days :)

They were so good live, what a time for live music back then. Just a few others I remember: The Blue Angels, North of 49, Engine Alley, The frames, Whipping Boy…. There was so much musical talent in 90’s Ireland, every weekend another amazing gig at the Baggot Inn. How good life was back then…

Mcgonagles, so many wild nights I spent there. One stands out; stage diving & crowd surfing at the Acid Reign gig, sneaking vodka in and getting a headache in the mosh pit. All after getting into Bruxelles on fake ID. Those were the days
