I discovered Jake One through 2003's Gift of Gab solo 4th Dimensional Rocket Ships. I wasn't familiar with Gab or Jake (or Vitamin D) but that album blew me away. Heard it in a Tower Records listening station and bought it immediately (over MF DOOM Take Me To Your Leader). Jake is such a beast man. Hype to peep this interview. Gotta peep his new album with Freeway. Had the first album and loved it.

Don‘t really like drake but him staying quiet on political/social issues is plain wrong. He was one of the first artists to support the artists for ceasefire movement. Obviously he could do more but reducing him that much is kind of bad faith.

I think alot of indie labels have been screwing artists just as much as the big labels cuz stove god signed to some label now and they wont let him drop. Also i think stove and roc marci had some kinda falling out cuz the shade they were throwing towards marci in that elliot wilson griselda interview was kinda wild. Stove has just done alot of features over the years.
