This lecture video covered a lot of information providing the baseline information about the Introduction to cybersecurity risk management. I learnt that there are numerous layers of cybersecurity risk management that extend way beyond systems and networks, which basically leads us to having numerous questions when it comes to risk management for example what the business goals are and the risk appetite. My key take aways from this lecture video are the core principles of cybersecurity like the CIA and the core principle to help defend against DAD. Lastly the major take away is the formular for cybersecurity which is threats + vulnerability + exposure = risk.

This lecture video covered a lot of ground with risk assessment, risk management, and the foundation of risk management for cybersecurity which is very valuable and mind opening. The core foundation for cybersecurity are confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA). It provided a very well explanation which is understandable. Furthermore, it also shows and explains what CIA protects against which are disclosure, alteration, and destruction (DAD). The vulnerability risk management strategies are very essential. It is critical to understand the threats and exposures in order to deal with it. There are also websites which I have noticed after watching this video. One of the websites allows you to search for vulnerabilities around the world which is CVE, and the other is CVSS; a technical standard that measures the severity of security flaws in computing systems. It is great video introduction to start of with and I am looking forward for the next upcoming lecture.

This is an outstanding video, thank you for producing it. Your teaching style is easy to follow and your depth of experience is very obvious. I especially enjoyed the section of what cybersecurity professionals can do to protect critical infrastructure. I will be using this material with my students for sure!
