I made this bag yesterday for my daughter’s work Yankee Swap. It came out BEAUTIFUL! She likes it soo much she wants to keep it for herself 😂 She’s hoping she can swap it back. I plan to do more. I did it in 2 colors. I wish I can attach a picture to show you ❤

I’m loving your bags however I did wanna give you a little tip when working with T-shirt yarn. If you go slower and straighten out your yarn once you get it over the hook like you have two hoops over your hook straighten out your yarn to be perfect over your hook, and you won’t have as many gaps in your workthat’s what I’ve learned working with T-shirt yarn
@CraftwithJessАй бұрын
that is interesting! Thanks for the tip!
@sonjakeesee6977Ай бұрын
@ hey it’s no problem at all. I’m actually following your tutorial right now ! Well, as soon as I get home from dropping the hubby off at work, I’ll get back to it so not exactly right this very second lol I’m being silly anyway keep up the good work. You’re pretty darn amazing at this stuff. Thanks for the upload. It’s appreciated.
@sonjakeesee6977Ай бұрын
Oh, one last thing that I like to do when doing T-shirt, yarn and Cinco crochet as long as I’m working in the round, it doesn’t work if I’m going back-and-forth and have to chain one you know front side backside it only works if I’m working in the round as I said aboveif I position my crochet hook facing down, I get this really cool X looking stitch and for some reason that stitch makes it where I have way less gaps. That’s my favorite when working with T-shirt yarn.

This bag is very beautiful. Is it non stretchy t-shirt yarn?
@CraftwithJess2 ай бұрын
Hi Debby! Yes, the t-shirt yarn I used was medium stretchy. I prefer the non-stretchy or medium stretchy kind personally because it kind of turns out more stiff. Happy hooking!
@debbyhartell49672 ай бұрын
@CraftwithJess ahhhh! Maybe I'm just not used to it cause I'm sitting with an unfinished project since I find it a bit difficult to use. But your work is absolutely stunning, thanks.😘

Hii! The t shirt yarn i am using isn’t as thick as yours so is it okay if i do 36 stitches for the base and continue?
@CraftwithJess2 ай бұрын
Hi! You can use any number of stitches as long as it is an even number. Make sure that your hook size corresponds with your yarn thickness however because you don't want your purse to have too many holes or be too loose that it doesn't stand up.

I have a huge garbage bag full of my husband's old work shirts waiting to be turned into yarn. I plan on using them to crochet a GIANT cat cave/hut (similar to the one at 0:38-0:39). One of our cats is way too big to fit in anything you can buy, but he loves huts so much! It's heartbreaking buying something new just to watch him try (and fail) to fit in it. I'm just waiting until I can figure out how to make one and then figure out how to (at least) double the size. If anyone could point me in the direction of a site or video or something that might help, I (and Winston) would greatly appreciate it!
@CraftwithJess2 ай бұрын
oh my gosh, I need to make a video for that and borrow somone's cat! Why do you need to double the size?
@katek.33612 ай бұрын
@CraftwithJess I apologize for the late response... I hope you do; that would be awesome! I've been crocheting on and off for about 20 years (more off than on), so videos are extremely helpful. I've seen some on YT, but they are all WAY too small and I'm worried if I try to make it bigger (without someone telling me how), I'll end up having to start over a lot more times than I'd like and eventually just give up. (That wouldn't be the first time that's happened, lol...) As bad as I want to make him one, I want to make sure I don't start it until I know how to do everything so it actually gets finished because I know how much he'll like it and how happy he'd be having one he can actually get in! I said I would have to at least double the size because I assume it wouldn't be much (if any) bigger than ones you can buy online or in stores (or than other ones made on YT) and unfortunately, those just are not even close to being big enough for him. I'm guessing it would have to be at least as big around as the Moses Basket (on your channel) is long in order to fit him comfortably. Winston is probably the sweetest cat in the world, but his size is massive, lol. If I didn't know better, I'd think he was part Maine Coon... I will definitely be watching too see if you decide to do one!

Hi again, it wasn't clear but do you slip stitch before you start a new round of knit stitches or do you just keep going around?
@Olive19554 ай бұрын
Hi, I love this bag and your tutorial. But I hate the knit stitch. Do you think it would come out okay with regular single stitches instead?
@CraftwithJess4 ай бұрын
You could use any stitch really as long as the count is the same. The knit stitch is extra tight, if you do a regular sc stitch keep that in mind it may be looser, might want to go down a hook size :)

Dosent doing tapestry crochet eat up a lot of yarn since your not cuing to have The ends to weave in and it makes it easier to pull up the different colors but doesn’t that eat a lot of yarn like you’re having just a bunch of yarn pulling through colors instead of actually using that yarn you’re just tucking it in writing isn’t that eat it up instead of using?

YPHaHPHaH (beautiful, in Hebrew). // SHLM & HaB (peace & love). The Name of the Creator is Hayah asher Hayah, as what He told Moshah (Exodus 3:14), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. There is a curse to the G-o-d name (Isaiah 65:11-12), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. All followers of the Messiah are to do the 7 appointed times (Leviticus 23), but no more animal sacrifices, following the Crucifixion of the Messiah. We are now of the order of MLK TSDQ (King, righteous), to Whom ABRaHM tithed. Ask the Messiah to be your personal Savior. He said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). ...for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Hayah (Romans 3:23). The wages for sin is death but the gift of ALaHYM is Everlasting Life through Messiah Yahushgh our Master (Romans 6:23). That if you confess with your mouth the Master Yahushgh and believe in your heart that ALaHYM raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9). He Himself is an Atoning Offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world (1 John 2:2).

When I heard this song it broke me into tears. When I was 13 I was told I would never have any children due to my health issues. When I got with my Fiancé in 2021 I went to 3 other opinions and they all told me the same thing no no no. Last year February 2023 I miscarried. Which broke me even hardr and made me actually believe it. But, my Fiancé said in time babe they said you couldn't concive and you did you may have lost it love and I now its hard just keep faith only God can give breath of life and take breath of life so I did. Here I am in 2024 and I gave birth to my miracle she was born January 27th. It was ruff along the way but God blessed me with an amazing beautiful daughter. This song I have dedicated to my daughter ❤️ Everytime I hear this song I break down in tears know what an amazing miracle blessing Gid has blessed me with.

Hi, pls is the wooden base necessary? And how strong will the cradle be without a wooden base
@CraftwithJess Жыл бұрын
Hi! This pattern is without the wooden base, it's not necessary. If you do use a wooden base that pretty much changes the whole pattern. The benefit is your basket will be lighter and more sturdy. For this version instead once you put the mattress in there it's fine but I always keep this on the floor :)
