Hey Bill, Keystone note owns the Coleman name and for 2025 they’ve just released a couple amazing floorplans under a new “high” end fully laminated “Coleman Legacy” brand- the 2115RK and 1905RB couples campers- 30x40” shower, 50” TV, King size bed and more. Basically a lighter revamped 22MLS in many ways. I’ll post a link to the walkthrough video below. My question is though, I can’t find anything on the construction! Walls(lamination, insulation), frame, roof, etc. Your Keystone manufacturing videos are great! I was wondering if you could inquire with your contacts and make a video on them. The floorplans are great, but carrying the Coleman name I think they really need to address the quality stigma from the pre-Keystone era of stick and tin Coleman’s from Dutchman. Here’s the links, thanks for your great videos. Even if you could confirm if they’re manufactured under the same process as the Cougar that would be great! 🙏 2115RK- kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaq2qYaagN-FjtEsi=spXt0V_DYI2pP6Ef 1905RB - kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6vJm513ptWZq7Msi=EU_FvVjL91zPrFAW

Why would you spray over a rubber roof that could delaminate and destroy the coating over the top of it? Makes no sense at all, sloppy.

Exactly. As a dealer you get nothing extra for a spray on roof. It adds zero dollars to trades and financeable RVs. Its not recognized by JD power as a option. Banks only finance OEM options not aftermarket

We had our roof done at Lifetime RV Roof in May of 2023. As I have posted elsewhere, AAA, Awesome People, Awesome Product, Awesome Experience. We are wintering this year in the AustinTexas area where we have had a lot of driving rain (30+ MPH wind gusts). No worries, no leaks, no problems. The cost was less than what our dealer wanted for an (OEM) Alpha Systems TPO roof which is an inferior product to the Flex Armor Roof. Plus, lifetime, transferrable warranty. Worth every penny.

Supposedly it is KEYTSTONE's collection of our finest travel trailers offers enhanced weather protection, luxury finishes, the latest technology and more: Cougar Sport & Half-Ton Travel Trailers, Outback Travel Trailers & Sprinter Limited Travel Trailers. OH REALLY? 1 YR. 3 MO. old and it has the following issues: lower cabinet trim falling off, both bug screens in bathroom/bedroom falling down, speakers inside fell down from ceiling the first night we had it, power hookup to tow vehicle exposed wiring after less than 30 days of use, window shade above king bed window was cut lopsided so one side is much higher than other, interior paneling around window frame gapped so bad you can slide your hand up one side halfway up. Keystone says after viewing photos that the paneling/frame gap is "within factory spec" despite pointing out passenger side interior window frame is TIGHT with no gaps. Update: 10/10/23-picked up trailer after sitting at RV service center the entire summer. No camping in 2023 for us!. Original warranty items fixed. However, after noticing water was ponding on dining seat cushion, found out water was coming out of ceiling speaker! RV tech went up to see what was going on. Wireless internet satellite housing on roof gapping where sealant used to keep it water tight. Roof membrane sealant gapping: front, sides, & rear, 2 downspout corners sealant gapping/separating badly. RV tech sealed them all up. Tech noted that most of these sealant separations are after years of use not 1 year 3 months of ownership (ONLY 45 days in 2022 of actual camping/towing). Hope water intrusion issues through ceiling are fixed for the next owner (saying good bye to this lemon in 2024). DEPENDABLE RV Service center deserves A for effort and all items are fixed at THEIR cost - they will fight Keystone for reimbursement and not have us wait for approval. We have had it on their lot since May 17, 2023. Theater seating did not come on with heating, massage, lighting. What? they worked before we dropped the 22MLS off. Fuses all tested by RV tech: all functioning no burnt out ones. More troubleshooting and fixes to theater seating before I take ownership back on this trailer. In 2024, we are trading this lemon for anything but a COUGAR.

Just friendly fyi, the road armor helps absorb smaller bumps and offer a bit more suspension travel yet it does not make the axles independent. Both wheels are attached to each other. But that’s ok.

We just bought our MLS. I have one thought or comment. The cabinet left of the TV set has a door that is a right hand swing. I believe it would be much better if it had a left hand swing. That way when accessing the computer, you don’t have to reach around the door.

I'm contemplating the purchase of either this model (2023 Cougar 22MLS) or a 2023 Grand Design (GD) ImagineXLS 22MLE model. Note: I've been told that the construction/build of the GD is superior which I cannot determine? In any case, besides the king size bed feature in the Cougar, is their any other pros/cons of the Cougar vs the GD? Thank you for anyones insight/knowledge as this will be my first RV purchase.

I'm tall at 6'5" so ceiling height is very important to me. Cougar 22MLS ceiling height is listed as 84" and GD XLS 22MLE is listed at only 78".

Bill there is a great deal of misunderstanding about lithium batteries. There are dozens of forms and chemistries. LiFePo which I assume is the Dragonfly module is affected by charging rate and form factor but it would probably be the best for 100 percent charging for many cycles. However $1000 is way too high for a 100AH LiFePo battery. $300 is more appropriate but Cougar also has heating on the battery so that adds some $. Keystone is unlikely to have any expertise in battery tech since this is expanding rapidly and sadly is not best understood in the US. I just bought a 2023 22MLS and look forward to becoming part of your group.

you hit the nail on the head. Most folks lump all Lithium iron chemistrys into one voltage. There are many different configurations from the 18650 cell batterys, foil pack, calb cells. the end form factor full charge voltage can vary from 12.8 volts to 14.8 volts. dragon fly is to rich for my blood, but I can get surplus cells and build 1000 amp hour pack for the same price as a 270 amp our dragonfly. I currently run 560 amp hours.

The frame Keystone uses is a standard Lippert Fame, its literally the same one that Grand Design uses, its a Lippert inovation, NOT Keystone, many manufactures use this system

I see what you mean about changing RVs and the fact it is hard to get to where you are going by leaping from where you are. Our current TT has the usual hanging closets on either side of the bed and she has given me both of which I actually could utilize better since it is meant for hanging and I do a mixture of hanging and stacking. We have a double-door hanging closet in our bathroom of which she hangs one side and has installed a hanging gizmo with separate dividers in it for her stacking folding clothes. I have joined a 22MLS FB group but haven't seen any user ideas of how they handle the hers and hers clothes storage for full-timers still of working age. We manage 13 campgrounds for the USFS and we work out of our RV with a printer and a couple of computers tying up the dinette, We don't want to go bigger because we need to stay with our F-150 for another couple of years and do not like to exceed 80% of our truck's rated tow capacity due to mountains, wind, and other factors. Cheers, Dave

@@steveroyer7619 we bought the 33 foot grand Design with the full office, but we work 14 hour days 7 days per week in our RV when we aren't out in the company trucks supporting our 13 USFS campgrounds. Having a full office instead of just a dinette makes things so much easier, but in 6 years when I retire for real I am going back to a truck camper and a cargo trailer with my electronics lab built into it, ham radio has been my true calling for 44 years, lol. Cheers & good luck! Davey - KU9L PS grab a few of the cable end crimp-ons from your dealer. My best friend has had three of them break off while out camping with his new Cougar 5W and being a carpenter he said it was easy to field repair, but you had to do it on the spot to get the slide back in. Best.

I was heavily campaigning for this model but without a dedicated hers and her closet for 12 months of travel I was voted down. I was hoping to see a mod that allows for more clothing storage, but Keystone did such a great job utilizing the floor plan that there is not much room for innovation, LOL. -Dave PS- We Workamped at the Middlebury KOA in 2008 the year we went full-timing, oh how we enjoyed Martha's pies as she came in her buggy every week. ;-)
