This is my fav Christmas album. Since I was 6, in 1982. The lyrics to this, however, have always reverted back to my childhood pronunciation understanding, and what I remember of these lyrics are problematic! I remember very warmly back around Christmas 2011. I was a young kid in preschool, and I don't know if this was the first version I heard of this song, but it stuck with me. The fact that I only now realized that John Denver was with them enhances it, and I only remembered it now, but by God am I glad I did. But considering it's been 13 years, let me recount some details I misremembered: - I didn't remember Beaker singing, only Dr. Bunsen Honeydew. - I always thought everyone joined each of the "ba-dum bum bum"s rather than just the last one. Yeah, that's about it.

Both of my late grandparents were part of their church choir, and every single year up untill they had to retire, they performed woth the choir for the christmas eve service. They would end the service withe the choir, standing and then each lighting a candle before slowly walking past the crowd. Singing Silent night, withe john denvers message anout the orgin of this song beforehand. I cant listen to this song without crying. I miss you both dearly grandma and grandpa, every day Im even tearing up writing this. Happy Holidays to anyone and everyone no matter what you belive in.
