Welcome back. I got myself a digital drawing tablet for the first time today. I should have done it a looong time ago. I always felt I was improved the more I doodled digitally, but I guess I never considered the sheer benefit of digital with the sheer amount of legroom you have to ctrl z, resize, layer, and just make changes as you go. With traditional I found I would always have "fresh page" anxiety. But with digital im finding right away how quickly I can just toy around with shapes and textures care-free. I really like the ambience in the background of your videos. Captures the "zoned-in" process when your working on something.
@RoseRedTiger11 күн бұрын
Aww I'm glad. Honestly I love traditional too, for me it's easier to be loose and creative with sketches. But it's definitely way more chill to make bigger pieces digitally, like you said

Man, when when I find an artist, are they to a point in their growth that they might not post as much? But, all good reasons for why, and I hope however school and whatever comes after goes great for you! And will eagerly look forward to anything that you will be involved in in the future using your schooling!

Wish I had a PC that allows me to carelessly remesh the object like you. But if I go to much into detail my PC suffers. So I have to find work arounds. Do you also have Videos that aren't accelerated like this? Guess I go and find out.

honestly it's a risk everytime as for videos, unfortunitely no, the closest thing i have is a few stream VODs

Hello, I really like your work on this piece ! I was just wondering, is there a specific reason to switch between ZBrush and Blender or we can do everything on one (Maybe you switched because some tools are better in the other software idk)
@RoseRedTigerАй бұрын
You can definitely do everything in one software, in this case either one has all the tools one would need to make something like this (except for maybe the final render) I personally started with blender, so I'm more comfortable using it for blocking and things like that, but I switch to brush for the finer details because it feels a bit nicer and has some tools that streamline the process

Yknow just yesterday i started studying how to use blender. FOR 6 HOURS STRAIGHT, then at midnight i made my first genuine blender creation. Wish i could do the same with my math notes 😭 seeing this video is making me want to try doing this at midnight, even though it MIIGHT just chip away at my sanity lol.

lol, i feel that sleep is important though, you learn nothing when you're tired, trust me I've learned from experience

@@RoseRedTiger update, i have no idea why but it's going a lot better than i expected, even though im just using basic tools like knife. i got the head & horns down but for some reason i can't do the fur or ears so i left it at that. im considering putting down the project for a bit

You were the final push I needed to get into 3D art, and now I'm learning a ton of stuff! All your work always turns out in such a high quality, with so much personality, just like this one! If you plan on making another tutorial soon, could you go into a little detail on how you get such smooth and uniform shapes while sculpting? I have lots of problems with creating creases on anthro legs and making sharp features for the knees and face. I'd like to start selling commissions soon...but I can't until my sculpting skills are professional enough to offer. I've been looking at what tools you use in Blender for sculpting, but for some reason I still can't get my shapes quite right, and the movements are a little too fast in speed sculpts like that. I work in Blender since I don't have the funds for extra programs. Even if it's a simple little trick while sculpting in Blender, I'd love to know, I'm dying to learn better techniques!
@RoseRedTiger2 ай бұрын
Blender is perfectly fine to sculpt, especially early on. As for getting shapes clean and smooth, it's hard to say, it's something I struggled with for a very long time but eventually you just kinda get a feel for it. That being said, one of the things that makes a huge difference is making sure the mesh resolution is consistent. So remesh fairly regularly. Also make use of crease and draw sharp, and make sure they both have a sharp falloff
