what am I doing here? Nice skull btw, I really love the vibe of this carving. It has some unfinished shamanistic vibe. Would be amazing to add some candles and molten wax and make it creepy!

If you cut that piece of wood in half lengthways you could make 2 wood spirit wall hangers from one piece.

I just wondered why you said pine of turtle, not turtle of pine? I noticed you are not getting any more subscribers, even losing a few. I was hoping you did better but I think your videos have gotten worse. I do not know about others but listening to a bunch of loud music and watching an uninformative crappy video ls not for me. Anyway God bless and I may wait a couple months to see if you have improved, do what you like.
@natescarvingcreations2978 Жыл бұрын
Well first of all, The title is up to me. If you don't understand my puns then that's on you. I got a laugh out of it. Secondly, I don't always do "informative videos". Sometimes I just carve. If you don't like them then that's on you. Thirdly, I only have a phone to record on/with. I know they're not top quality videos, but I like what I do . Subscriber count is what it is. Lastly the music, I actually turn the music down to 10-20% the original volumes. If that's too loud for you turn your volume down
@williamwethington7905 Жыл бұрын
@@natescarvingcreations2978 At least I am commenting on your videos, If other subscribers were interested in your videos they would be commenting also. I thought my comments would get some feedback from them. OH well keep carving, at least you can use the carvings for firewood, stay safe and warm.

What's your question ?
@davidcharlesfrost9690 Жыл бұрын
hi Nate ,i think you need to sharpen your tools ,it will be much easier to carve ,when i got my knives i learnt how to sharpen and how to strop them ,like i would do 1 carving and i might strop mine at least once part way through the carve ,if you want to learn just hit me up and we can do a face to face and show you , good to see you out there enjoying your carving still

try flipping the piece around once in a while, when you feel resistance and the chisel wants to dig in deep. try the other direction. <3 keep on carving!

@@natescarvingcreations2978 You are welcome, i dont do knife carving but it has been something that has been very usefull with chisel work for me once i learned that. with chainsaw carving this applies as well, altough then generally you dont go opposite but somewhere in between :) Keep on carving!

Maaaaaaaaan stop burning EVERYTHING lol. You can't tell what any of it is supposed to be, cuz all you see is blackness lol. Light burn for contrast, and whatever you do burn you sand. Try this next time. Whatever piece of wood ya grab to carve. Get the bark cleaned off of the area you're going to carve. Then sand it all to a nice surface. Maybe no higher then say 220 grit. Now scorch the area like ya usually do. Now with 220, sand the whole area you just burnt. NOW leave the torch alone for the rest of the item. And go about carving. You'll have a finished polished surface, and the areas ya carve will be raw wood. Giving the item a reverse contrast look. Make sure to lmk when the video is up when you do this type of work. I've been wanting too, I know how to go about it. Just haven't had the time with orders. And don't worry about them termites. If you DONT burn and use oil on your finished piece. There highways they make will turn out with all kinda colors. Look at my large druid blessing bowl, I did it last summer to help ya narrow the search down on my fb page lol. It was done outta tree stump. It turned out really wild. So don't let those pieces go to waste. You can make really cool stuff with them. Happy carving bubba.

hi mate good to see you having a go and yes it takes a bit of time to learn with the knives ,but the other thing you should learn how to sharpen the knives and chisels ,it will make it much easier to use them

Video advice more time lapses and get a 2nd camera angle close up to what you're doing if you try to explain how to do things and you'll pick up a editing style over time

Its all a learning curve buddy ehh? the more you practice with them the better you'll get 🤘 n maybe give um all a strop make sure they are cuttin good 👍. Hope ya good Nate keep it up dude
