The placement is off for your face shape. You don’t want to go all the way to the mouth. Your cheekbones are higher placed and adding the shadow all the way to the mouth takes your cheeks lower and more dragged down. Look where the shadow is on your non makeup side when grinning, it stops mid way and goes down like a trapezoid, mimic the shape to keep your cheeks high and sharp like they are naturally 👍 I also have high cheekbones so I place it until the midway point and use a brush and blend downward mainly and follow the shadow shape when blending the go back and diffuse harshness

I think you are calculating your slope formula incorrectly. You are calculating y1-y2, x1-x2 when it should it y2-y1, x2-x1. This can really confuse people, or maybe I am wrong? I noticed this in the function example as well as the example after that.
