Scream (2022) (8/10) (Great legacy sequel and a love letter to Wes Craven that also a comfort film but also has the guts to kill off two returning characters) Huge GAP 6. Scream VI (6/10) (Didn’t fully commit to new ideas it introduced, prioritized set pieces and fan service first, a lot of illogical/suspend your disbelief moments, regressed and sidelined Gale (what a way to disrespect the only OG character as an act 2 character), lack of new commentary on the horror genre, lack of mystery and red herrings, only day players die, way too much plot armor, worst killers in the franchise, killers’ motive was just lazy and a ripoff of Mrs. Loomis, feels more like a real life Stab film than a Scream film if I’m being completely honest. Overall, it’s decent but very disappointing and gimmicky)

I liked Night Swim and Tarot more than this movie lol The yoga kill was the best scene. That’s it.

So glad this came up in my recommendations last night. Dude, you are spot-on about everything. I still like 5 slightly more than 6 just because I thought the screenplay for that one was even more bonkers and as someone who has lived in NYC, I thought they didn't do nearly as much as they could have done with such a cool setting. Watched all of your Scream 5 and 6 videos last night. Good shit! Are you in college or high school? Cuz this is some impressive analysis for someone so young. Keep up the good work, man!

Also the thing with Liv is she’s related to the Mackenzie’s. Vince is Stu’s nephew. Her storyline would’ve made perfect sense for her to be ghost face! The whole movie something seemed off I mean why tf did she not show up at the hospital with Tara?? It would’ve been a connection to the past and not completely predictable. We expect her to be just a random friend that gets killed off, but there could’ve been a cool backstory to her character.

I actually thought it was decent. I just don’t like how dollface has the beanie look instead of the blonde hair she somehow looks less creepy idk why

Awesome review brotha Brett! I didn’t hate this either maybe it’s because I never liked the first film. I do think the two lead actors were better than Liv and Scott Speedbag. I didn’t think the technical was very good it was too standard and by the numbers. It’s a bad film but I’m astonished by the overwhelming hate it got by the community. It’s bad but doesn’t warrant this level of hate

Completely agree with everything you said. A lot of great potential in this movie and some great set pieces and directing (the bodega sequence alone tops ANY of their directing in 5), but unfortunately hampered by horrible writing. Terrible dialogue, unforgivable logic gaps, no mystery to speak of, all scenes just thrown together as non-sequiturs with no natural progression between them, etc. I'm really hoping and optimistic that Kevin will get the series back on track with 7.

As someone that seen 2-7 in theaters by far Scream 2 had the second best opening scene in the franchise next to 5 and 6 opening scene was unique and different but way to long with the first half and boring and the last minute of the opening was the best part

I just want to clarify a huge mistake I made when discussing the box office for this film. I meant to say it got 70 million. Not 700 million. I was, for some reason, thinking hundred and seven at the same time. A massive error on my part that probably left a lot of you wondering what I was talking about, lmao.

Oh oh! I also was super annoyed with Sam's characters' affliction with her 'ghost father'. It's a rip-off idea from the show Dexter. Such lazy writing.

I still hate this film, too, dude. I was straight up pissed at how dirty they did Dewey, man. I just can't get past it and it was so .... sloppily made. The plot, that is. The opening wasn’t terrible, but Tara survived.... ha! Anyone with medical background knows that girl is in the hospital in a coma at best. Why the f did her mom not come home? Writers were just lazy. I was picking things apart, and there is two points in the film where the "killers" couldn't have murdered or attacked anyone, and there would have had to have been a 3rd person. So that would probably fall on editing issues. It was ridiculous. I felt like this dumbed down the audience, too. The lighting was atrocious, yes. I wore my glasses and still had issues. Yeah, I also wasn't impressed with the killers too.

I loved it, really. And i like the 6th one better than the first. They did good with it, with all the scream movies really, but the worst one was the 3rd for me.

Yes it's worth the hype. It not only sold plenty of copies well but it also got 91 on Metacritic making it the highest Metacritic score of any Marvel which is a huge milestone. I love the game so much. Not only its also better then the first 2 games but it's also the best Marvel game ever. Its a huge improvement from its predecessors too like the combat, enemy varieties, bosses, MJ segments and side missions. The story is amazing too. Kraven is amazing and it's hands down the best iteration of Kraven. He was menacing and threatening then ever. Same thing can be said for Venom. He is stronger and bigger then the previous iterations. Plus I love Tony Todd's voice. Kraven and Venom from Insomniac are amazing and better then Sony spin off movie versions. Insomniac never disappoints. Insomniac's Spider Man is hands down the best iteration of Spider Man across all media and its my favorite too. Yuri Lowenthal is the best Spider Man After playing Marvel's Spider Man 2 and how amazing it is, I can't wait for Insomniac's Wolverine game Marvel's Spider Man 2 (9.5/10)

I think the boss fights were drawn out the same thing phase after phase. It's pretty disappointing, to be honest. And I found it easy . For me, it was overhyped. I definitely enjoyed the game, though
