August 3rd 2024, I said goodbye to the best friend I have ever had and I am 71 years old, for 15 years he was in my life every single day, the longest we were apart was when he had to stay overnight at the vets for 'observation' after eating a cleaning sponge with cleaning stuff still on it, he was fine, 5 years ago my last relationship came to an end and Floyd came with me, and for those 5 years he has been my only companion seriously, I live alone and my closest friends and family are almost 300 miles away, I go months on end without speaking to another human being, and I didn't give a damn because that was the way I liked it, just me and my dog was all I needed to get me through anything. Almost all of the 10 signs were present in my dog I WISH I had recognised them, I fought so hard to make him better but eventually he was clearly suffering so I made the hardest decision I have EVER made, I held my sweet loyal boy in my arms as he passed away, I thanked him for choosing me, and asked him to wait for me as I won't be long.

We lost 2 fur babies last year and it hurts. My husband and I have had dogs since we were 18 and both agreed that the 3 we had were the best, the way they treated each other and taught us is still amazing. I cried for my big shepherd to find a way back to me and I swear he did. A day or two after I cried for that my husband saw a post with found dog who looked like my boys slightly smaller twin. He has all the same mannerisms, allergies, everything it’s amazing. His name was even A sign “Ghost” plus we picked him up on my mother’s birthday who passed away. Right after I went to put bedding in dryer and I found a necklace not belonging to anyone in the house that said a love between grandmother and grandson is forever.
