Me and a buddy used to play the everloving crap out of this in the arcade back in the late 80s. We'd compete on points, though. If my memory still works past 50 I think we usually ended up on three-something-million points and it took about 50 minutes to beat the game. Good times. :)

This is really impressive. I can't speed run it like this & beat it. I have to do everything. So it takes me 35 min to beat this game.

Rubens Barrichello and Tony Kanaan always played this game together on Morumbi Shopping's arcades machines in 90s before yours F1 and Indy careers. This was their favorite game.
Is the game in this video actually running on your System16 board? I'm a Japanese teenager and I'm very interested in this game. However, I couldn't get any details (especially about the arcade model) by searching for various information on internet. All I know is that, it was basically released for Master System, and ported to other devices such as System E and PS2. Actually I still don't even know whether this game was actually released for System 16 or not.

Why is the gear shifting so satisfying? What a total pro, that first major drift through the first tunnel is unbelievable! Time to practice!

Now imagine in days before internet, how should you ever find your way through the labyrinth at the end? I'm a fan of the arcade version, but this is very nice too. Very well played!

There's guide books you can buy. Also if you get the bell if you know how that'll guide you for the last level. What I did for the last level was write things down on the direction I had to go on a piece of paper.

I get your point of how easy it is to research things through the internet. Where as before the internet you actually had to work and maybe it was impossible to solve things.

Hi.. just came across your video.. really miss this game.. you still playing? May i suggest that you use gear 2 4 for 1 corner.. 2 4 3 4 for 2nd corner.. 1 4 for 3rd corner and 2 4 3 4 for last corner.. 1st corner you can maintain 320kph, 2nd corner 290kph, 3rd corner 275kph and last corner 300kph.. you can get a time lap of 42.10 sec or less

Greetings from Indonesia🇮🇩, Southeast Asian. I still Remember this Arcade Game SEGA Daytona USA, one of the BEST 90s Arcade. Very Nostalgic, but.... i was born in 2000, but I am lucky to be able to Play this Game. Because until the mid 2000s, I was a kindergarten and elementary school.... This Arcade is still there, I played it at the Timezone Game Center. And now i have this Game at My ASUS Laptop (PC Version), it look like SEGA Saturn Version. Plus : I fastest 3'19"89 with Manual-4 Red Car at Expert Course (in SEGA Daytona USA 3 it's call Seaside Street Galaxy). ❤👍👍👍

Also, I'm from the Philippines🇵🇭, your neighbor country, I also remember this game in arcade game parks when I was a little kid back in 2000s but I really don't know what name of this game when I played it, then in my teenage years when I discovered Sega and my favorite game character Sonic the Hedgehog, I still remember that game when I played and discovered the name called Daytona USA on KZbin and made by Sega. BTW, I'm just really wanted to play the remastered version called Daytona Championship USA released in 2017.

Loved this game as a kid! Geez they must have made this version MUCH easier. The arcade version on Xbox live requires way more hits to kill everything and you can't stunlock the bosses. But I guess they wanted your quarters after all.. EDIT: This was the first version I played, but it's been so long. I remember it being tough, but didn't know this is actually a tamer version o_O.
@MrCharliesay4 жыл бұрын
Ive played both versions, arcade version is easier as enemies are easier to hit.

Classic '80 randomness with the final boss being from another dimensions that has zero connection with the rest of the game xD But hey I liked this game anyway when I was a kid ahah
