My hedgehog unexpectedly delivered 5 babies, but she isn’t feeding or warming them. It’s her first pregnancy and she is 1 years old. I don’t know what to do and only finding little info on the subject.

I've watched several of your videos now and they are pretty legit. I suspect that a lot of people may think this channel is AI generated or something. Maybe it does have some sort of AI involvement in it... I'm not even sure, but the info is very helpful and I'm sad that the channel doesn't seem to be gaining traction like it deserves. Here are a few potential reasons why your hedgehogs might be sleeping in a stretched-out position: Temperature: Hedgehogs are sensitive to temperature changes. If they find the environment too warm, they may stretch out to cool down. Similarly, if they are feeling cold, they might stretch out to absorb more warmth. Ensure that the temperature in their habitat is within the recommended range of 72-80°F (22-27°C) and adjust as needed. Comfort: Hedgehogs generally curl up into a ball while sleeping to protect their vulnerable underbelly. However, some hedgehogs may feel secure enough in their surroundings to stretch out while sleeping. This behavior could indicate that they feel safe and comfortable in their environment. Health issues: Although less common, if your hedgehogs consistently lie stretched out during sleep and exhibit other abnormal behaviors or signs of illness, it would be advisable to consult a veterinarian. Unusual sleeping positions or changes in behavior can sometimes be a sign of an underlying health issue.
