Simple answer, ergonomics. However if you check closely the seat lining bezel has a tapered inner for a more comfortable seat.

On the video it says smaller lighter packed size , specs on the video show a heavy weight equivalent to a air tent and pack size bigger then average, I'm guessing the sizing on information is wrong ?

Any advice on how to get it to inflate fully. Mines just arrived and it seems to have stopped inflating half way through. I've stuck my finger in the orange part and it inflates a bit more but the corners have still not popped out. Also I don't really want to have to sit there with my finger in the hole. Do I need a finishing device?

Hi, most mats from factory have been vacuum packed for shipping, so they take a while to "breathe". Let them sit for a good couple of hours, then when they've taken in most air, lay on it, use it, roll on it or massage it. This will help the foam "wake up" and expand further into the corners, if needed you can even blow into the valve to assist. Don't Worry!! You only need to do this once as they're fresh from factory, with more use the quicker they self inflate!

Dead annoying that no one in the reviews for this awning ever show the internal pads (that push against the caravan to help seal against ran ingress) and the accompanying polls... it's an important feature that should be pointed out if not demonstrated!!!.❤️🇬🇧

I’ve got a memory foam / fire, flame retardant and chemical off gsssing sensitivity - does this product contain any chemicals or foam / flame retardants that off gas?

can you use the pump from the tent (ozone) or does it need to be a smaller one?

Hi, you can use the tent pump! You will have received a standard bayonet (for inflatables) alongside the bravo bayonet (for tents/awnings) just attach this on instead! This whole set will work your muscles though!

Hi Mark! Our tents/awnings all have a range of loops, toggles and velcro straps on the roof (normally on the flysheet sleeve of our Oxygen Beams) designed to allow hanging lights, fans, lanterns and the lumi-link system. Use the loops/toggles for connection and holding and the velcro straps to assist with wire tidying!

Hi Uglystick, we don't think it would be comfy either! That's why the fabric is 600D polyester with a layer of foam padding that never actually touches it (providing you're not beyond the recommended 100kg capacity! And even then, you don't come close...) but is necessary to distribute the weight evenly for stability. 😁

No, however our bladders either have the IF setup or you can connect the release valve from your handpump.

Hi, It actually does! However the universal fit of the awnings cowls (depending on height) does require some adjustment from the user obviously!! This setup was just a video demonstration for the awning itself with the vehicle we had at the time.

Hi, this depends on the owner. We have plenty of owners love this set and allow their dogs on it. The added memory foam does give a little more protection against claws. However, this is literally an inflatable set and you do run the risk of the inevitable with your dogs...

Hi @martinleigh66 yes, just make sure that the cyclone valve stays on it's deflated side and is flush to keep the seal.

No, it does have storm strap attachment points and you can purchase straps from any good outdoor retailer.

Storm straps are just a stronger way of re-enforcing the tension lines instead of relying on guys alone. Ours just use clips around the attachment points and then peg out at the correct angle! Simple!

Just release the slide, pop in the canister, make sure the notch on the neck matches the spring-loaded clip and lock the slide.

The seals on the bladder are really difficult to get right. Why on earth are the internal parts not sealed to the bladder?

Hi Folks, I've got an outdoor revolution awning that's been used half a dozen times since purchase. I've developed a puncture on the air bladder, right on the heat sealed seam. The puncture repair kits won't work on the seam. The awning seems to be no longer supported by Outdoor Revolution so I'm considering purchasing a heat sealing tool to attempt to repair the bladder myself (I'm handy like that and the awning is 'as new) other than the air leak). What type of material is the bladder made out of?
