A million miles from home, yes A million miles from home A million miles from home, yeah Living in a land like this A million miles from home Living in a land like this A million miles from home No place to rest my weary head No place to rest at all No place to rest my weary head No place to rest at all One day this mighty kingdom, called Babylon Gonna tumble to the ground, one day it bound to fall One day this mighty kingdom, called Babylon Gonna tumble to the ground, one day it bound to fall Around the walls we go, a million miles from home Around the walls we go, a million miles from home Gonna chant down the great walls of Babylon Yes, we're gonna chant down the great walls of Babylon Can't live in a land like this Where there's no love for us all Can't live in a land like this Where there is no love at all Can't live in a land like this Where there is no love for humanity Can't live in a land like this Where there is no love for you and me (..) Living in a land like this A million miles from home Living in a land like this A million miles from home No place to rest my weary head No place to rest at all No place to rest my weary head No place to rest at all One day this mighty kingdom, called Babylon Gonna tumble to the ground, one day it bound to fall One day this mighty kingdom, called Babylon Gonna tumble to the ground, yes it bound to fall Around the walls we go, a million miles from home Around the walls we go, a million miles from home

I've been searching for the right way to explain Peter Tosh. I'm tempted to write a short essay on it. The analogy i came up w/ for a friend was this. Imagine Reggae is a hidden gold vein in the ground. & once it was discovered all flocked to it. Peter Tosh is the heart of that vein. He is the purest and most original form of Roots Rock Reggae. While Bob Marley was great, he most definitely was an off-shoot of that vein. Great in his own right, but somehow not quite as pure. Not in the way Peter Tosh was. Why? Because Bob Marley was a Protege of Peter. Peter was the Origin of this lost music & in many ways i feel his Birth was divine sent for this very purpose. Without Peter Tosh, there is no Bob Marley & this music will continue to be heard for hundreds of years into the future.
