The variety package of Diamond Cable which was £9.99 was only available to customers who lived in Nottingham. Telewest on the other had charged the following £14.99 for basic package with over 30 channels including Asianet which was chargeable on Diamond extra £2.99 per month and Telewest's premium channels in 1997 cost were much cheaper. 1 Sky premium Channel =£10 2 Sky Premium Channels =£14 3 Sky Premium Channels= £18 and 4 Sky premium Channels= £20 per month . The prices were the result in Telewest signing a controversial supply agreement with Sky for discount programming in late 1995 which caused a bitter division within the cable industry. Sky premium Channels consisted of the Sky movies and the Sky Sports Channels. However the most expensive rip off cable company in the UK in 1997 goes to General Cable who had franchises in Yorkshire, Windsor and West London whose basic tv only package was £17.99 per month and all 4 Sky premium Channels charged at £26.99 per month. General Cable were so bad that they stopped its customers taking just Cable tv and forced them to take a phone line as well.

It was sad to lose Badger after knowing him for two seasons. At least he died of old age instead of being murdered like the rest of his friends.
