As a note: the video is incorrect: The violinist listed in the intro is supposed to be Claire Hodgkins, who was Heifetz's student in 1962, who later became his associate teacher for 12 years at USC, and who founded the Heifetz Society following his death.

2nd movenent was exquisite. I love her tone but they are playing allegretto and not the written allegro on the first movement.

That vibrato is what I'm trying to accomplish on cello before I die LOL - and what a stunning 2nd movement. Bravo to Anne and the pianist!!

Beautifully played boring ass music and tragic piece of music. So many more beautiful compositions by LVB but not this one.

I can never listen to the Kreutzer sonata without thinking about Tolstoy's novella of the same name. Considering that Tolstoy was an old man haunted by grief and sexual shame at the time he wrote the story, I should probably separate it from this glorious performance.

It's not typical music for Beethoven. For Brahms yes, not for Beethoven.

Fascinating..very talented player and not a student but obviously an artist Just an aside for the great violin fans hearing this. Please listen to the greatest rendition of all. Oscar Shumsky Wieniawski Polonaisse in A. It is so special. Eric Shumsky
