I had a problem like this.. cleaned my idle control & disa valve seems all good now

The last noise air ? or what ?
@rodbender618410 ай бұрын
Puka puka puka noise sometimes fading off and on is the disa valve. Even though it runs fairly smooth. Sluggish acceleration is another symtom. Be running like silk with a new ccv.

Yes my brake booster is making a bubbling noise and roughy idle sometimes misfires
@sarahminifie85924 жыл бұрын
That sound is undoubtedly a vacuum leak so either get a smoke machine or search KZbin for other ways of finding vacuum leaks but I’ll bet most of them are cracked elboy joints on the big hose that connects to the throttle body, then the Disa the the 6 other little hoses it’s not much work to check hose by hose I can do it in 20 minutes so can you.
@OLearysBMW4 жыл бұрын
It's obvious that it will run rough once you pull the oil cap off whilst engine is running. You're creating a giant vacuum leak. The CCV is a sealed system.. I know this video is old. But, just saying.
@CL4RK1Eakog10 ай бұрын
Yes but if there was no vacuum leak elsewhere the oil cap would suck the palm of your hand
@OLearysBMW10 ай бұрын
@@CL4RK1Eakogyou can hear the light suction once he removes his hand, if you listen closely. A properly working CCV of M52TU/M54 has little crankcase vacuum at idle. Either way, if you remove the oil cap with stock CCV system, you're introducing un metered air into the crankcase.

How is it holding up? Is the battery still good? I’m thinking of buying one this weekend for light duty cutting.

I love mine. Had it for about a year. Just cut down a 20' tree that fell in my yard.

Holding up fine. I've had it for a few years now. It stays in my camper and always goes with me. Battery is still very strong and charger is not hungry at all. The tiny inverter in my truck console will charge it.

Not trying to be a "kill joy" but notice the boy's "hoody laces" dangling near the saw blade. That's a disaster waiting to happen. Laces get wrapped in the running saw and next thing you know, major face injury. Just saying. Don't have any loose clothing that can potentially become a serious problem. Just saying.....
@1ode2joy6 жыл бұрын
You're right. He's 15 now but we both wear hoodies a lot and I work in a shop all the time. I ALWAYS tuck the laces in my collar or just remove them altogether. I didn't notice that that day. It's a little late now but thanks for the catch!

Maybe don’t talk at the same time as running the saw so your viewers can hear?
@1ode2joy6 жыл бұрын
HibsMax What is it you can’t hear? If you want to hear me talk come on over with some beer. If you want to hear the saw it sounds like a quiet electric motor.
@1ode2joy6 жыл бұрын
Yep, audio sucks. This was 3.5 years ago though. Hopefully viewers have gotten the jist of it. It's a great little saw and so easy a child can use it (safely, but only with supervision.) Beinng an electric motor the blade stops very quickly when trigger is released.

I had this. It was the small vacuum hose off the MAF hose elbow
@psavel2744 жыл бұрын
Was going to say the same thing. Usually on the m54 the small pleated elbow that goes to the ICV is the first spot to crack. Id replace both boots, clean the MAF, ICV and throttle body while I was in there. Check the shitty CCV hoses and valve for cracks as well. The separator is a known failure point, and I prefer to delete them and run a proper catch can setup.
