I tried having beer after quitting for 10 years because of allergies. I got away with one day having a Tecate. Then I got away last weekend with 2 modelos. But today I had one Dos Equis and I’m having an allergic reaction and taking some Benadryl. I give up on beer.😢

A very interesting video, but perhaps you mean the UK or the smaller landmass of Britain when you say parti-gyle was born in England and is very specific to England? Both Scottish and English breweries practised the technique, probably from medieval times and certainly from the 1700s onwards. The Victorian times were 1837 - 1901. The UK industrial revolution was roughly from the 1780s - 1860s. Just about to do a parti-gyle brew tomorrow.

Missing England, and Scotland, the pubs with Taddy Porter, Samuel Smiths Imperial Stout...Living in Texas,USA, I have just now discovered KBS American Dark Beer, that is actually Stout ! 12% abv......So glad Americans are brewing Stout beers now, and finally getting away from cheap yellow coloured watered down beers with cheap alchohol in them....

Y'all are focusing on the wrong angle. Nice portion of salt keeps you strong , not so drunk and feeling good while you drink etc etc makes you hungry and wake up feeling good. Its not about taste or blah blah , its about feeling and what it does to you. Salting my beer is something I will always do now for the rest of my life. If you get it you get it

Fewer people have reactions to the the glutens in spelt so it might be a good alternative for gluten sensitivity. I concur with the other posters, spelt has more husk which can make it slightly harder to process than wheat. Favorite quote from this video: From Crap to Crops. Love it.

Most women I know don't like beer. They go Yuk when I tell them I love beer. I love a beer with guts to it. A robust, flavor. But I tried a sour beer by accident. I didn't realize until I got home that it was a sour one. Sorry but it was AWFUL.. I have never tasted anything so bad in my life. Kudos to anyone that drinks this. I'll go back to my stouts and ales.

I would make a case for the argument that ONLY DARK ALES HIT LIKE DARK ALES... and I'm referring to the effects of dark ales vs other styles of beer here. And let me tell you... no other substance, no other style of beer, hits quite like a dark ale. The rich complex flavours are one thing.. the effects are another. Both are utterly unique.

I get allergic reactions to some beers. If I drink or cook with San Miguel or Tsing Tao, I'd itch all over. Heineken is the beer I use for cooking since it doesn't make me itch.

If you drink a lot, it reduces your blood sodium levels too much. I'm guessing adding salt kinda prevents that

Yes, it does, just not all the gas. I've experimented with it. It depends on the salt to beer ratio. Don't add too much. @@ianpearson8976
